Banish the Blahs with a Colorful Easter Egg Wreath

by Digby_Adams

Say good-bye to your winter blues, when you hang one of these Easter Egg wreaths on your front door.

Front door decorations have moved beyond the traditional holidays. People now take every opportunity to express their creativity and beliefs. Door wreaths are an easy way to bright en up a door. This is especially true in the early spring, before the lawn has turned deep green and the flowers are blooming.

An Easter Egg Wreath is a whimsical way to greet spring. It welcomes your guests to your Easter brunch and it definitely banishes the blahs. While it is possible to make an Easter wreath, many people just don't have the time or skills. Luckily there are many beautiful and affordable Easter Wreaths available for us all to buy

Colorful Easter Egg Wreath Trends

I've noticed that more people are adding pastel lights to their Easter Wreaths. I think that this looks beautiful on a cold spring night. Other folks are keeping a primitive vibe going by using burlap. You know the mesh that fills so many Easter baskets, well it's now showing up on Easter wreaths.

Daisies and Pastel Easter Eggs

I think this Easter Egg Wreath finds just the right balance between the green background, flowers and Easter eggs. They are all made from artificial materials, so they can be easily stored and used again. The Easter eggs are colored pastel purple, pastel yellow and natural. The daisies vary from soft white to light purple with a few creamy yellow daisies. There are some vines and twigs to give it a natural feel.

Easter egg wreaths are spring wreaths and really aren't made for harsh climates. So if you're having a late spring, it might be best to hang it inside. If you have a storm door that will protect it as well.

Three AAA Batteries Make it Glow!

I love the way the multi-colored berries and mesh bows look on this wreath. Large purple and yellow Easter Egg are tucked in among them. This is one of those Easter Wreaths that glow at night. That's because threee AAA batteries power small lights. There's also enough ivy to make the berries look interesting. At 15 inches this wreath is big enough to be seen from the street. It also would look good on a small cottage door.

Primitive or Shabby Chic Style Easter Egg Wreath

Perfect for a Cottage Door

The greenery really stands out on this 20-inch wreath. Although you can't help but notice that the Easter Bunny is in the center. He is perched on a large Easter Egg, while he holds two smaller ones. The vines and flowers are artificial, so store this wreath carefully and use it in the future.

The mass of buds and vines give this Easter Egg wreath a primitive vibe. It could also be considered a shabby chic Easter wreath.

This Easter Egg Wreath Could also be a Spring Wreath

The small egss and flowers could just as easily be birds' eggs as well as Easter eggs. That means that you could leave it up past Easter Sunday. It also has a Shabby Chic feel to it and could be used to decorate an interior wall. Bright yellow, purple and pink Easter eggs peek out from the greens. There are few white blossoms to remind us of spring and the garden flowers to come.

Just in time for Easter, these wreaths are lovely. I love decorating and wreaths are my favourites. In India we use "Torans" - garlands made of flowers, etc to decorate the entrances.
