Best Salad Spinner

The OXO Salad spinner comes with a bowl and basket that separate (which means you can rinse the bowl and use it later to serve your salad).

Operation is easy - put the washed salad in the basket and place the basket in bowl. Then simply press the cushioned knob to start spinning and press the brake button when you want it to stop.

All the parts are dishwasher safe.

The Progressive Salad Spinner holds about two and a half quarts of salad. 

This spinner is the most user-friendly of the spinners on this page. The handle lets you hold it securely while it is spinning, and it has spouts on either side, so you can easily pour out the water in the bowl whether you are left or right-handed.

This is a small spinner - suitable if you make salad for one or two people at a time.

The Zyliss Easy Salad Spinner works on a pull-cord mechanism. The bowl is see-through.

You place the washed salad in the basket within the bowl, place the lid on and pull on a sturdy cord.

The spinning is much faster than the Oxo spinner.

The Softworks Salad Spinner works in a similar way to the Oxo Spinner - it is knob operated and has a brake function to stop the spinning.

All the parts separate and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. The bowl can be used to serve the salad afterwards.

This is a pretty sturdy bowl, with a non slip ring underneath, and the knob is cushioned. However it is large, so only get this if you regularly make salad for large numbers of people at a time (it's great for Christmas dinner!).
