Cadbury Creme Eggs

by brl

These delicious treats are a popular Easter treat. Some people love 'em, some people hate 'em. I love 'em!

Cadbury Creme Eggs originated in England in the 1920's and are now available throughout the world.

A wonderful milk chocolate shell houses an ooey gooey sweet white and yellow center (resembling an egg white and yolk) which is a treat for the taste buds.

These days you can even get Cadbury Creme Eggs in bar form. Hooray!

How Do They Make Cadbury Creme Eggs

Standard Cadbury Creme Eggs consist of milk chocolate, white fondant and yellow fondant.

The eggs start out as two chocolate half eggs.  Each half is filled with white fondant then a small amount of yellow fondant is placed on top.  The halves are joined together then cooled.  The result is an intact chocolate egg with a center resembling, but tasting nothing like, a real egg.

Fun Recipes To Make With Cadbury Creme Eggs

Cadbury Creme Egg Brownies

  • 1 box brownie mix
  • Half as many Cadbury Creme Eggs as brownies (ex 16 brownies means 8 Cadbury Creme Eggs)

These delights couldn't be easier.  Simply use brownie mix or your favorite brownie recipe and make them as usual.  While they are baking, slice the eggs carefully longways.  About 5 minutes before the brownies are done baking, take them out of the oven and carefully place the half eggs on top, spaced so each brownie will have it's own half egg.  Put the pan back in the oven to finish baking.  When they are done take them out of the oven, let them cool then serve.  Easy peasy!

Deviled Cadbury Creme Eggs

  • Half as many Cadbury Creme Eggs as deviled eggs you wish to make (20 eggs=40 deviled eggs)
  • Yellow frosting
  • Red granulated sugar
Carefully slice each of the eggs in half along the seam leaving the fondant inside.  Eat two.  Using a pastry bag with a star tip, pipe the yellow frosting on top of the open side of the half egg to simulate deviled yolk.  Sprinkle red sugar on top.  Enjoy!

Sorry to hear that. I don't think I've had one... but from your description I may have and not known it. :)

the mint cadbury egg might as well be the original because if you eat it with your eyes closed, you wouldn`t even know it`s mint. VERY DESAPOINTING.
