Dog Cookie Jars

Need a place to store your doggy treats? Or just want a dog-themed cookie jar for your kids' cookie treats? These adorable puppies are waiting just for you.

Dog owners know the importance of having a fun place to keep their doggy treats for rewarding their furry friends for performing tricks or for just being their adorable selves.

Kids love it when puppies hold their chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin cookies, too.

Or maybe you have a cookie jar collection and want to add some canine cuteness to your kitchen shelf.

Read on -- these cookie jars are just for you!

Cookies in the Jar

Treats for All

When my kids were small, we often made cookies together. We would mix up some oatmeal raisin cookies or chocolate chip cookies or sometimes ginger snaps. When we took the cookies out of the oven and slid them onto a cookie rack to let them cool, we often had to scramble around for a container to place them in (at least the ones we didn’t gobble right up). I used a variety of large jars or cracker tins, which, of course, worked fine.

But a cookie jar that would have made us smile, now that would have made the process even more special. Since we had a dog at the time, one of these dog cookie jars would have been a big hit at our house.

I know several people who would really enjoy using one of these cookie jars for their doggie treats now that their kids are grown. A dog can often become like a child in some households. Why not have a doggie treat jar that would make a pooch sit up and beg or even give a yip or two of celebration?

Dogs in Character

Some of these character dogs are really funny, at least to me. There’s just something about dressing a dog up that brings out the personality.

I’m not too big on dressing up a real dog, as I don’t think they like it much, but there’s nothing wrong with seeing a pretend dog dressed in character. These dog cookie jars are hilarious!

I also like that there are so many breeds represented. People get very attached to a certain breed of dogs. My own dogs have all been mixtures of several breeds, so I don't have a preference, though there are certain dogs that appeal to me more than others.

Sometimes it's the floppiness of the ears or the way the tail swishes. Usually, though, a person's preference has more to do with particular dogs he or she has known. We see an image of a dog and the personality of that remembered friend comes alive.

No cookie jar in the house. I seriously need to stay away from baked goods, but an empty jar is cute none-the-less.

Me, too, Brenda. But even though now we're all watching our sugar and fat intake, we can still enjoy a cookie jar. If I'm totally honest, I'll have to admit I still make cookies on occasion.

I love all of these. When I was a kid, every kitchen had a cookie jar, and there were really cookies in it.
