World Challenge is a simple yet fun word game on the Facebook social network. The objective is to create as many words as you can in a set time frame, with more points scored for longer words. The game is a great way of increasing your typing speed and improving your vocabulary, as well as an effective means of relaxation. A great bonus round requires you to remember the full names of your Facebook friends. There are two types of accounts which a user can play Word Challenge on, these being 'normal' or 'pro'. A pro account can be purchased or gained, those who like a challenge will want to 'gain' a pro account by playing regularly rather than paying hard cash!

World Challenge Pro Account
In order to get a free word challenge pro account, all that you need to do is achieve 10,000 points. Points can be gained by simply playing the game, whilst you also gain points by inviting your friends to play the game - or challenging them to beat your score! The only benefit to a pro-account is the additional game mode options with 'practice', 'word grid', and 'turbo' being the extra options. The normal account allows just two options, these being 'challenge' and 'classic'. There is a catch though, you can only gain a maximum of 150 points per day. It will therefore take you at least 67 days of play to achieve 'pro' status.
Word Challenge Game Modes
Classic Mode
In classic mode you just have to make as many words as possible from six letters within the alloted time. The minimum number of letters allowed per word is three, and the maximum is the full six. If you achieve a six letter word you are given a bonus round, during which you have to guess a friends name out of six letters; the friends name could use all six letters or just some of the letters. The quicker you guess the name the more points you are rewarded.
Challenge Mode
In challenge mode you play against Facebook friends who have accepted a challenge from you, all pretty self explanatory. You are awarded 50 points for every challenge that you win, or 25 points for every challenge that you lose. There is no bonus round to be played in Challenge Mode.
Turbo Mode
Turbo mode is very similar to Classic Mode, only you can change rounds at any time and are given a longer total time to play. You are however given less time to think of each word, with just 20 seconds allowed to make as many words as possible from your given set of letters.
Word Grid Mode
This mode is completely different from the others in the game, in word grid you have to link words together and you gain points based on your success at doing this (the more letters in the linked words the better). If you manage to place a golden coloured piece in a word your score is double, similar in principle to Scrabble. You are given the option of shuffling your pack of letters, although this should only be used as a last resort as you lose 10 seconds in doing so. Find as many words with four or more letters as possible, as you get a time bonus, and always try and utilise your golden letters.
