No matter if you are a son or a daughter, young or old, composing your own acrostic poem for your dad on Father's Day is a great way to show how much you care for him. Here an easy guide about how to get started with poetry acrostic style and how to add your poem to a personalized Father's day card.

What is an Acrostic Poem?

The simplest form of an acrostic poem for Father's Day would be to take the word Father and write it from top to bottom at the left side of a piece of paper and then add the words in such a way that the first word of each line begins with one of the letters. Some examples to get you started:

F - Father, For, Forever, Fabulous, ...

A - Always, Aren't, And, Able, ...

T - To, Through, Tackling, Tact, ...

H - His, Her, Hope, Helpful, ...

E - Expectation, Excellent, Excel, ...

R - Real, Really, Rare, Rather, ...

Sorry to hear Katiem2 that you lost your father at a young age. The good thing with acrostic poems is that they work not only for Father's Day but also for a multitude of other occasions and you can make them as complicated or as simple as you want.
