Flip Fold Clothing Folding Board

These folding boards for clothes are so cool, and if you have never seen one before, I encourage you to check out the short videos I have loaded on the right.  

They go by a lot of names.  You've probably seen them advertised under names such as:

• T-Shirt Folder
• Flip Folder
• Flip n Fold
• Clothing Folding Board
• Magic Folder

Whatever you want to call them -- or whatever folding brand you buy -- they all pretty much work the same.

Using a Folding Board

All you do is lay your shirt face-down on the folding board.  Then you flip one side, then the other and then, finally, the bottom folds up.  Its faster than folding by hand, and leaves you with a cleaner fold then most of us can create on our own.

Plus, you can use it on everything from shirts to pants to towels.

Because the device is so simple, some people have even tried making them out of cardboard boxes.  However if you can afford to buy one of these plastic ones, you will likely find that the trade-offs are worth it as they last longer, create less static and typically grip the clothes slightly better to keep them from sliding around as you fold.

Probably the best thing about using a flip-folder is how nice your drawers look when you are done folding.  And, its simple and fun enough that you can use it to introduce your kids to the wonders of folding laundry -- without having to go through and refold everything once they are done.
