Food Costumes for Toddlers

I love the idea of dressing your toddler up as a piece of fruit, it further enforces good nutrition while they're having fun.   Well that's my story anyway!

I think this banana costume is gorgeous and would really suit a boy or a girl beautifully.   You will need a shirt and pants to wear underneath this costume as it consists of just the 'inside' of the banana part and the banana skin part that you see here - not the black top and pants that the model is wearing.

You can also get this costume in an adult's costume if you want to wear matching fruit costumes this year.

There are other fruit costumes that you can wear besides the banana one, but I think this is definitely the pick of the bunch if you'll excuse the pun.

Another fruit costume that can look good is a Strawberry costume, but this one is definitely for the girls and not a unisex option at all.

I'm surprised there's not more fruit inspired costumes available to buy, but if you're looking at making your own I would look at fruits such as pineapple, a slice of watermelon, a kiwi or even an apple.

When it comes to 'sweet' costumes I love this cupcake costume, sprinkles and all!

Again this costume doesn't include the black shirt and trousers that the model is wearing so you'll have to provide your own.

What it does have is the sparkly cherry hat along with the blue cupcake 'cup' and the pink netting 'icing with sprinkles'.

If you don't love this costume then I have nothing left to say because I think it is just another word for gorgeous!

Who wouldn't fall in love with this cute brown and white Gingerbread Man costume?

This plush costume will keep your toddler warm while also looking good.  One of the great things about this costume is that it's easy to put on with no fiddly bits and it's easy for your toddler to move around in as well.

This gingerbread man is a great costume for them to dress up in at Christmas as well as Halloween.   I love the idea of being able to reuse a fancy dress outfit more than one time.

I would imagine that if you tell them the story of the little gingerbread man that they could have a lot of fun running as fast as they can in their gingerbread man dress up costume!   If your toddler is anything like mine was then once they've got a story in their mind they'll want to dress up in their story outfit again and again and again!

This cool ice cream costume is another great costume that either sex can wear and who wouldn't want to dress up as an ice-cream?

Just like the banana and cupcake costumes above you will need to supply your own pants and top for your toddler to wear as it's only the ice cream sandwich part that you see on this model that is supplied.

I do love an ice cream sandwich and this costume certainly looks like one and is bound to garner a lot of attention.

This fun costume contains a soft foam which helps it keep it's shape without stopping your toddler from running around or sitting down which, as all moms know, is very important when it comes to this age group.
