Just been looking at your pictures of Langkawi, Steve - lovely. I have fond memories of that place about 20 years ago, bet it's changed now. Have you been to Penang lately. I'm thinking of going there in January but haven't been to that area for about 18 years and wondering how much it's changed. I've tended to stick to the Thai, Vietnam, Cambodia areas over the last years and I'm having trouble finding honest reporting on Malaysia. I need some input before putting my foot back into the Malay waters. Plan is to fly to Singapore, few days there, then on to Penang, then Malacca, avoiding KL unless the price is really good.
