How refreshing it would be to have a whole website where we could write in our own tongue - no more having to write pants instead of trousers and favor instead if favour etc. I won't get carried away but if it does happen, I would like to be part of it for sure.

So true!  To be able to spell in English would be wonderful and no longer having to explain to family and friends that "yes I can spell but we have to write English with Mistakes" (as one of my friends so charmingly refers to "American English" as) Laughing

Chef, and anyone else who's interested, here is some data regarding internet usage in the UK. And not one UK web 2.site to cater for them specifically.

Well, this is all very exciting!

I wish that what Zazzle do, all the others could do too.  Zazzle looks at the IP of the visitor and immediately switches its entire site to the local one. Translations, currencies and all.  Amazon will never do it, because of the copyright and staggered releases hoops they'd have to jump though.  It all comes down to the greed of the distributors, rather than the ease of consumers.

I'd certainly write for a British Wizzley.  No more having to remember to knock the 'u' out of words!  \0/

Chef, I just hit up my Amazon Affiliate accounts.

Amazon.com 1 click. 0 earned last quarter.

Amazon.co.uk 26 clicks 0 earned last quarter.

Guess what I'm going to be doing in the next few days?! Yes, updating my Amazon modules to the co.uk model even if it is through Viglink.

Described by one of my clients as 'a literary grammarian', writing, researching and reading are requirements for sanity, at least this side of the keyboard.

To enable our British friends to use Amazon UK was one of our main reasons for hooking up with VL.  Smile

Which of course is truly appreciated and I am indeed seeing some sales Smile

But some feedback from visitors is that they miss the UK links because of course all the nice pictures have US $ all over them so they think that there is nothing there for them Cry

If you use your UK Amazon affiliate in the Wizzley settings, the modules all show sterling. :)  That's how I started out for about three weeks, until it was pointed out to me that there are more potential customers in the US.

Yes I know Jo - but that would only make sense on a page by page basis or even on a module by module basis - now I have no idea whether it is technically possible (but always think on the basis that there has to be a technical solution to everything) but if it could be done that we were able to select .com, .co.uk, .ca etc etc at a module or even page level that would also work for me.  Still a strong preference for this Blessed Plot, this realm..... to have it's own unique Wizzley identity though Laughing

Just bumping this thread up to see if there has been any further thinking about creating a UK Wizzley? Laughing

Yes I was wondering too - especially with the recent 'germanisation'.

Hans and Simon are still extremely busy with the Pagewizz update. However, the UK version is on the list of future considerations. We'll let you know as soon as we've had that discussion. Thanks for your patience until then.

Yes, thanks Chef. I am holding back on publishing WWI articles until I know the outcome / availability of WizzUK.
