Hi Younghopes. Sorry to hear about your experience. So far I've had two successful redemptions and no trouble. As long as you were following the rules, and I assume you were, you should contact the site so you can get paid. The owners are well aware there have been problems and are working to fix them, from what I understand.

That is such great news Jo.  Your articles show your love of the topic, so it's great to see that you are being rewarded with sales.  I also love it that some of your better performing articles have been the topics that are near and dear to your heart.  Sometimes we just have to throw SEO out the door and write what we care most about.

Great news again, Jo. It's especially great to hear that topics others said wouldn't make you money are working out so well for you.

I'm one of those who doesn't put all her eggs into one basket but I'm not spreading myself too thin either. There are only a handful of sites that I write at and I'm finally seeing the income increasing. My August income for Wizzley is also the best one yet (although still small!).

Just curious about the VigLink. I signed up and put in the email address for the account. I didn't take out the Amazon Affiliate username though. Do I have to do that and it will automatically switch to VigLink? Is that something you recommend doing? I've seen nothing from Amazon so far :(

I'd also be interested in any feedback from people here using viglinks and how it's working for them. Thanks.

Ologsinquito - Scaling down the sheer number of sites may seem counterproductive, but it stops you spreading yourself too thin.

Concentrating on leaving a large body of work on a single site is more risky, but has potential for greater dividends.

Mira - I'd like to say that it was all stubbornness and stamina, but really it came down to desperation, few alternatives and the right amount of reassurance at the right time. It's paid off.

I'll never, ever underestimate the power of that reassurance. I spent a lot of 2012 searching for things to boost my confidence, and overcome some paranoia-inducing comments made. The amount of times I nearly walked away is unreal, but I'm really glad that I persevered.

younghopes - Have you had your Bubblews payment yet?  My last one look a few days longer than usual to be approved. I'd reached the point where I was considering backing away from the site, when they suddenly paid up.

NausetViews - I'm beginning to truly understand that writing about your passions is the way forward. Yes, 'sales' articles will produce a lot of revenue, but they quickly become tedious to write, unless you're personally interested in the product. If you keep to the topics that you love, even if they're not necessarily 'sales' orientated, then I'm learning it will still pay off.

I've already kicked SEO out of the door. It was confusing to begin with, and hasn't got better with all of the changes!

Alex - It sounds like you've found that good balance that the rest of us are searching for!

I had a mathematician look at my August earnings. He said that they were 560% up on last year. I can leave with those kinds of jumps!

You have to remove your Amazon affiliate in the Wizzley settings, or else your Amazon modules will default to that.

Hi Jo, No i havent heard from bubblews though more than a month has already passed and i almost stopped writing there, because i am not sure if i would be paid there or not. Just one more advice from you needed:

With regard to Viglink, how do you find out the products to be added to your post? I wrote a post on green christmas and i wanted to add a few organic christmas gifts, green christmas ornaments etc etc but i dont understand how to find out the website at viglink which i can use to put links? Should i first search for example Organic Candles at google and then see whether that particular website is available at viglink? I am finding it a bit time consuming, can you please tell the right way.

Hi Jo,

I've definitely scaled back because I realized traffic wasn't coming if I only had a few articles at each site. But I guess I'm not that much of a risk taker. But I am taking a little risk waiting for things to take off here. I now have 40 articles, and my earnings are still tiny.
