Booted off HubPages

Lobobrandon - I asked them to remove the "banned from HubPages" remark on my profile because I consider that defamatory. I am a professional with a small business and a reputation to protect. Apparently they did.

I emailed them to ask how to delete my account since they said the only way to remove the "banned" remark was to delete the account but I read on their rules that you cannot delete the account and still get paid.

So, apparently they deleted my account and I doubt they will pay me what I have earned. I asked them a question; I did not ask to have my account deleted if that meant I would not be paid.

That's really bad... I guess that's it then they may not pay you. I do hope they pay you what you earned - it's their responsibility as that's part of their TOS

The latest is that HubPages notified me via email of yet another accolade....kind weird, eh? Awarding accolades to banned authors? Still no pay-out and no explanation for being banned - people are asking for my articles...in the process of uploading them to my own website. What a hassle.

I wonder if it could have been for posting links in comments. I've gotten warnings and a 24 ban for that. I'm looking here:

Or was it for not being on board with all the Christian bashing? I see you've posted some perfectly polite and reasonable things that aren't inline with the in-your-face atheists.

and elsewhere.

I'm looking for an alternative to HP. I like the community there, but the business side seems pretty shady. They even advertise "jobs" on monster or craigslist, but they're just trying to get people to sign up.  Plus they don't have an effective way to block spammers. They don't allow about on-topic helpful links in the comment section, but they allow people to spam their followers and ex-followers with shares.

Sorry you had that experience there and thanks for the warning. I've downloaded all my Hubs, and now I'm checking out this site. Is there a way to block people here?

It wasn't for that ONE response to that one hub by Mistyhorizon. She has been friendly toward me. I posted a link in my response and she politely pointed out to me it was against the rules. She and I have been in contact via email. It wasn't that ONE link. I was new and did not know that rule. It may be because I am a Christian and the owner is a God-hater. In fact there is someone pursuing a class action suit against HubPages right now for religious discrimination. Or, it could have been a large corporation that didn't like what I wrote. I will probably never know and never get paid.

Thank you! I just discovered another HubPages author has lifted content from one of my articles and inserted it as well as some other similar content of mine into an article she wrote on another website! Now that should be grounds for being banned! I tried to contact her and no response, so contacted the site manager with my complaint of copyright infringement.

There was one author on HubPages who lifted content from a few of my hubs and compiled it into an article but he was no expert on the subject, so I reported it to HubPages but just let it go.

This latest infringement was by a fellow dog trainer/author. I am so sick of people stealing my work!
