Natural Foot Soak
Herbal Foot Bath for Sore Feet
Use a selection of herbs to soothe your sore feet. All you have to do is brew a strong mix of finely chopped fresh herbs by adding them to hot water.
Make enough to half fill the bowl you are going to use to soak your feet.
Use as many of these herbs as possible:
Lavendar
Sage
Pennyroyal
Rosemary
Yarrow
You can also use Pine Needles.
Make the water as hot as you can bear and soak your feet for 10 to 15 minutes.
Finish by plunging your feet into cold water mixed with 4 tablespoons of witch hazel.
Pat your feet dry and massage with Aromatherapy Oil.
Natural Foot Treatment
Give yourself a Natural Foot Pedicure
To start treating the dry skin on your feet buff the dry areas with an emery board. Use gentle strokes to remove the dry (and dead) outer layers. Then soak your feet in warm water for at least five minutes. You can add salt to soften the skin if you wish.
Lift one foot out of the water and apply the natural foot scrub (see recipe below) in small circular motions. You can also spread some onto a pumice stone to work on the areas of the feet with the hardest skin, such as the heels or the side of the big toe.
As well as smoothing the skin surface of the feet and removing dead skin, the exfoliating action of the natural foot scrub increases circulation, while at the same time stimulating the lymph flow.
Rinse off the exfoliating scrub and repeat on the other foot.
Remove feet from the warm water and dry them. Wrap them in a heated towel for five minutes. Then finally apply the natural foot oil and massage into each foot.
Tired feet after a long day? If you don't have time to give your feet a natural pedicure, then use the natural foot refresher (see below for recipe) as a quick pickme up.
