How to Avoid Allergy Attacks and Symptoms - 8 Tips to Avoid Allergy Pain and Suffering

  • Change bedding once a week vacuuming and dusting frequently.
  • Don’t expose yourself to open windows in your house or car.
  • First and foremost watch your local weather to learn the pollen count for the day. During days or periods of high pollen count take the extra precautions listed below to avoid a bad allergy episode.
  • Wait till mid-morning or afternoon to go outdoors. Plants and trees tend to pollinate during the hours of 5am and 9am making early morning the worst time and the worst allergy offender.
  • Avoid going outside during windy periods as the wind stirs up pollen making it a particularly difficult time of exposure to pollen.
  • Anytime you've been out during heavy pollen and or in windy conditions wash your clothes and shower washing or rinsing your hair well to eliminate any residual pollen. Do the same with the family dog as they too carry offending residual pollen as well.
  • Always wear a mask anytime you work outside in high pollen areas especially when mowing or gardening.
  • Go to a hot climate with sun, sand and beach to give your sinus and body a break from the high levels of allergens during spring.

katiem2, Nice prescriptions and proscriptions with a great "poster bird" to boot. It's difficult to delay going outside between 5:00 and 9:00 in the morning on beautiful spring and summer days when allergies are building up!
