Kinderglo Night Lights

by sheilamarie

Kinderglo night lights are easy to hold and easy to love. Help your child conquer a fear of the dark with one of these night light pals.

Ease your child's bedtime anxieties with one of these Kinderglo rechargeable night lights. Perfect size for little hands, kids can hold a small glowing moon or elephant or dinosaur in their hands and watch it change colors in a soothing glow.

If your child has trouble with bedtime, adding a little glowing friend into the bedtime routine can reassure him and give him new confidence.

Toddlers and Sleep

How Does Your Little One Get to Sleep?

Bedtime can be a challenge when you have a toddler in the house. Even for the most well adjusted toddler, bedtime can be a scary event.

It's not because the room is scary necessarily, or that he or she hasn't had a good day. Something about bedtime means entering a space that is unknown. Maybe your child is worried he will be missing something. Maybe she thinks that if she goes to sleep without you there beside her, you will somehow disappear.

No, it doesn't make sense. But it doesn't have to. If your child is afraid of monsters under the bed or gremlins in the closet, then that fear is real to him or to her and no amount of arguing or rationalizing that you do will make the smallest iota of difference.

Your child needs to know that you will keep her safe. She also needs to know that she can do something to ease her own fears.

That is why I like these little Kinderglo Night Lights. The child can hold onto one because it is just the perfect size to fit in a little hand. When she flicks the button, she can turn it on and watch as it glows, turning from one soothing color to the next in a calming pattern. Because the night light is made from nontoxic plastic, she can take it into bed with her like any other toy.

And the LED light inside will not get hot, so you don't have to worry that it will burn her or pose any fire hazard. After thirty minutes, the light will turn off by itself. Unless you want it to stay on all night: in that case, you hold the button down for a few seconds and it wil stay on until you turn it off yourself.

Rechargeable Night Light

Can Be Carried Around

These little Kinderglo night lights can become little friends during the daytime, too. Because they're small, they can enter different play scenarios and take on personalities of their own. When your child is finished playing with his little dinosaur or elephant, you can put it back in the charger to get ready for the next night of glowing help.

The only down side I can see with this Kinderglo rechargeable night light is the recharger itself. It seems that some, though not all, parents have found that their recharger didn't last as long as it should. Those same people, however, have reported that the company were quick to replace the recharger after it broke, but the fact that it broke in the first place is a weakness in the product.

I would caution anyone who buys this night light to be alert as to the quality of the charger and to complain if it seems to stop working. You should be able to get the charger replaced. If enough people request a replacement for the charger, maybe the company will wise up and provide everyone with a better quality charger.

As long as the company remains decent and replaces the faulty charger -- which seems to be the case -- then the night light is worth getting. The love your child will place on it, after all, is priceless.

These Kinderglo Night Lights are a cute way to reassure young children at night-time. My daughter always has a little night light on. Most young children hate the dark.
