Mavis Beacon Typing Lessons

Need to brush up on your typing skills? I am now a touchtyper and I rarely need to look at my keyboard at all when typing, I am proud to say, but it hasn't always been that way. I was first introduced to computers in 1995 as a young kid at middle school and it was a number of years before my skills had evolved beyond one finger typing. Typing speed is of course imperative to many jobs, effectively any job with an administrative element or the need for Internet research. In those types of roles, and no more so than the work that I do online, your typing speed can be the difference between success and failure. Albeit, you need a quick brain to match your quick fingers. My typing skills improved primarily with experience, but I do recall a significant improvement after installing and extensively using a demo disc of an old version of Mavis Beacon software somewhere around 1999. Mavis Beacon is one of the most widely respected typing gurus in the world, and her tutorial software is by far the best selling on the market.
