Monkey Birthday Party Ideas

Every birthday party needs a birthday cake! And that's a fact!

Making a monkey cake is not all that hard. You can make it using your basic round cake pan.

Bake one round cake.

I would recommend making a Nutella Cake with banana filling -yummy! Frost it either with light brown butter cream frosting or you could use a Nutella and whipped cream mix (this makes a tasty frosting).

Decorate the edges of the cake with some dark brown frosting (with the help of the piping bag it will look even better). Draw mouth, eyes and nose or use candy to make them.

If you want something more accurate you can help yourself with the monkey shaped bake pan.

Cupcakes have became an essential part of birthdays! They are easy to make and easy to decorate. For a monkey party you can make chocolate cupcakes, frost them with chocolate butter cream frosting and add a piece of banana on top of them as a decoration. You could also decorate the cupcakes with a monkey face.

You could also use cupcake toppers or even cupcake rings which can double up as a party favor.

Fresh bananas are a given! You can also go with candy bananas. Anything with bananas goes well - ice-cream, banana-split, frappe, smoothie...

As not everyone is a banana lover you can take advantage of monkey shaped cookie cutters and either make cookies or use it to turn any food (fruits, veggies, sandwiches...) into monkey food. 

Turn the place into a real jungle. Inflatable palm trees will make any room look wild. Think that is fun? Add some inflatable monkeys to it and it will look even greater! Naturally you could make all this out of cardboard and it would still look great.

Fill the room with green crepe streamers to give it a jungle vibe.
