When buying clothes for newborns there are important things to consider especially if the baby is a tiny preemie baby.
Important things to consider when choosing baby wear are softness of fabric and fit. These are even more important when the outfit is being purchased for a small newborn baby.
A baby that is being cared for by nurses because of its size will need to be wearing clothes that allow the medical staff easy access when they need to do the routine checks.
Hats might be needed for the infant, these need to be soft on the skin. Size wise the hat needs to be small enough to stay in place but loose enough to be comfortable and easily removed. A hat may also need to allow access for monitoring the temperature and also to allow access to any tubes the baby needs at this stage. If you are unsure about the suitability of garments for the baby it is a good idea to seek advice from the hospital staff.

It is good that baby clothes made in these smaller sizes are designed for easy access to make it simpler to dress such tiny babies. Katie I am pleased you were able to find her something nice to wear.
My first born was a preemie she was so small it was scary. The comfort was having preemie clothes to dress her in, made her seem more protected. Love the line of preemie clothes you've highlighted here today. Nice variety and great choices. Comfy for the smallest of babies too!
Hi Angel - I think the choice of baby wear and the soft fabrics they are made in is great now. Both of my children were born early and were small but not as small as a preemie size. I can remember rolling sleeves up and searching through the clothes I had bought for the smaller sizes.
Oh so cute. Baby clothes are adorable. I can not imagine having a preemie. All of mine were 8lbs or larger and they seemed so small at the time. I love all baby clothes.... love buying them too.
