Pink Zebra Bedding and Room Accessories

by Digby_Adams

Grown-up girls and baby girls will love this zebra print decor. Wild and feminine and always pretty.

Girls of all ages can express their wild side with these daring zebra print comforters and sheets. When you combine the boldness of zebra print with a splash of pink, magic happens. Warmth and personality is pulsed with through the zebra bedding. Black and white zebra patterns can be cold, but never when pink is added. And the pink can be bold, bright, rosy, or pastel. It all works.

The trick is to decide how much pink you want and how much zebra you want. Then you have to decide how much zebra print decor will be added to the overall room. You can either choose a focal point like a bed or go with zebra room accessories. If you're not sure how much you love zebra print decor, then it might me good to start out gradually and build up your room with small pieces. A pillow here, a pair of curtains there, perhaps a switch plate or two, maybe a wall plaque. You can then balance your pink colors as well.

What you see to the right are black and white zebra stripes with pink accents. What you see below are black and pink zebra stripes. So you have both choices in your zebra room decor. If you choose the pink and white zebra stripes then I'd suggest that black accessories would provide contrast and ground the design. It could either be black sheets underneath a blanket, a black head board, or guess you could just wear black pajamas to bed!

One look to the right and you can see how different the shades of pink can be. From very rosy to very pale the pink brings out a very different vibe in the zebra print. From sultry to almost innocent. New curtains is one of the biggest changes you can make to a room because it's what hits you right at eye level when you walk in. Without rearranging a single piece of furniture you can give your room a brand new look.

It is possible to have too much zebra print decor in a room, especially if it's pink. So if you want both your bedset and curtains to be in pink zebra print, I would recommend that they match exactly. Then I would recommend that you choose a much simpler design palatte for everything else in the room.

To lighten the space and make it brigher and a bit more innocent add white. You'll change it again depending upon the style of the white accents. Big, bold and geometric will add drama, while smaller white pieces with lace or decorative trim will make it more feminine and girly girl.

Go with black accents and it will be sexy and sultry. But the samething goes about the scale. Big and Bold accents go one way, frilly another. If you dare, mix up the styles and keep your eyes guessing.

You can have a very neutral room, and then add a zebra print rug for some pizzaz. You could choose pink and white zebra stripes, pink on pink stripes or go with traditional black and white stripes with pink and lime green accent squares. I do like the way that the colored squares contrast both in color and shape with the zebra stripes.

As you can see you can add pink zebra print decor on your bed, windows or floor to create drama in your own unique way. What's important is to determine just how pink you want your zebra print to be - and then to determine just how much you want. After you add in the main pieces, think about mirrors, wall decals, lamps, and side tables to add more zebra decor or neutral pieces.
