Proclaim Your Faith with Religious Easter Flags

by Digby_Adams

Outside decorative flags are the perfect way to share your religious belief that Easter is a time of spiritual rebirth and renewal.

Many families hang decorative flags by their front door. They enjoy changing them for the season and specific holidays. Easter is the most important Christian holiday. It's a time of joy because they believe that Jesus rose from the dead on Easter Sunday. It's only natural that people who believe this want to share their religious beliefs and happiness.

Therefore they choose religious Easter flags that have symbols of their faith. Often the cross is included in Easter Flag designs. This incorporates the symbol of the crucifixion that took place on Good Friday. A vibrant sunrise is often the background for it. This shows that rebirth is just a few days away. Lilies are often used to decorate the cross.

The phrase "He is Risen" is usually included somewhere on a religious Easter flag. That really is the message that Easter brings. Christians believe that when they die, they will rise again to meet Jesus and his father.

Three of these Easter Flags are geared toward the adult perspective. The last one will appeal to toddlers and pre-schoolers. However, it is so cute and colorful, people of all ages can enjoy it as well.

He is Risen House Flags

Using Decorative Flags to proclaim your faith

I know that many people in my community wait until early Easter Sunday to raise this flag. They often do it just before they go to sunrise service.

Inspirational Easter Flag

A large cross dominates this inspirational Easter flag. There are lilies at the base of the cross and a shining light in back of it. The sun breaking through the clouds is a common symbol for rebirth after difficult times. Placing the cross on a mountain top also alludes to the suffering and tribulations necessary for that rebirth. At the top of the garden flag are the words "He has Risen."

This Easter Flag can be displayed by the front door or hung from a holder in the yard. It measures 28 inches wide and 40 inches tall. It is double sided so that it can be seen by people in the house as well as passersby.

On a very practical side it is mold-resistant and doesn't fade in the sunlight.

There is definitely a cross on a hill on this religious Easter flag designed by artist Janet Stever. There is also the rock that was moved by the cave where the body of Jesus was buried. However, what we really notice is the lush green landscape that the artist used to hold these symbols.

For those of us who live in places that experience long and cold winters, Easter is often the first holiday where we hope to see green grass. Although I have walked to church with my family with my Easter outfit and snow boots on more than once. To me the Stever design is also a spring flag that incorporates a love of nature with a religious belief.

Often we think of the green landscape as our symbol that God renews the planet each spring. This Carson Easter flag is also 28 inches wide by 40 inches tall. It is double sided and the heavy fabric has a nice drape to it.

Celebrate Easter with a Celtic Flair

A Celtic cross design that has Celtic knows at the edge of each cross point is perfect for Irish Catholics or people who love to celebrate their Irish heritage. "He is Risen" is boldly included in the cross design. Spring flowers including tulips and lilies complete the design. The light green background is surrounded by the color purple.

The cross is front and center on this Easter flag. It is a prominent part of the design. To emphasize it, the artist placed the flowing robes of Jesus on it. The sun is rising over a hill in back of the cross. Lilies are also blooming at the base of the cross.

If we are lucky we have spring flowers blooming at Easter. That depends upon the weather and when Easter falls on the calendar. Potted Easter lilies often fill in when the calendar and Mother Nature aren't cooperative. I see Easter flags on porches still covered in snow. Intrepid Christians often purchase potted Easter lilies to add to their joyous display.

Easter Flag measures 28 inches by 40 inches. Mildew and fade-resistant. Easily washed in soap and water.

Happy Easter Cross with Butterfly and Flowers

Show Children the True Meaning of Easter
"Happy Easter" Cross Flowers & Butterfly 12"x18" Garden Flag

Younger children respond to bright primary colors and simple designs. Parents can use holiday flags such as this one to counter secular messages. It includes a cross inscribed with the worlds Happy Easter. It is cheerful and even as a tulip on it. It is surrounded by colorful spring flowers and there is a butterfly just above it. It's up to the parents to decide how much of the Easter story a toddler or preschooler should hear.

While it is cheerful and isn't heavy handed, isn't a rabbit or egg either. It will help Christian parents keep their children focused on the real meaning of a Christian Easter celebration.
