Orange and white comforter sets, duvets and other bedding like these promise to transform the dreariest of spaces from wan to 'wan-derful!'

All you need do to make this wan-to-wonderful 'magic' happen is make up your bed and it's instantly the bright, happy bedroom that's worthy of your attention, uplifting your mood to relaxed and happy.

It's all about the color, the sass of orange and the purity of white. The sun literally rises and sets to this play on color.

Really, there's few colors on the spectrum that betray the spirit and energy value of orange; it's one hue that's hard to ignore and orange is always worthy of a second look with its pure-joy aura. I'd venture to say there isn't a hue that compares. Pair orange and white and you've melded pristine-pure to glorious. How fab is that?

Scroll down for great ideas on decorating with orange and white comforter sets, duvets and other bedding to create that fabulous bedroom you've long (too long) been pining for.

In the Beginning: Your Bedroom's Focal Point

Getting Started with Your Focal Point:
Modern Orange and White Linear Stripe Comforter Sets

My Fave: Bedding for Less

but appeal isn't compromised

I always happy to see fabulous bedding sets like this one above in the orange and white color scheme you're after for uber-cheap . These sets have plenty of 'wow!' with their high-energy design;some have stripes, while other comforter sets have the famed chevron (or zigzag) design capable of making an awesome focal wall presentation.

You'll only have to decide on the intensity if orange and the rest is easy.

For under $50, either of these fun orange and white sets are a smart choice for bedding. Don't you think so?

Put Your Bed Set to Work:

don't let it sleep on the job!

Most often in bedrooms, the bed is your room's largest contributor, so it makes sense to dress your bed to the 'nines' with impressive bedding that reflects your theme and/or color palette. Your room's focal point is its most important feature with quite the job description.

Bedding introduces your theme, welcomes admirers and guests while grounding the space; it's your bedroom's star attraction. You'll want orange and white bedding that's impressive, capturing and holding the eye a bit longer than the supporting pieces like wall art and accessories.

Orange and white comforter sets like these striped, linear pieces above have plenty of energy to contrast with your walls and attract the eye for that 'Oh, Wow!' first impression you'll need for a successful focal point--the perfect, first step to a great finish.

Now, About That Budget Those Pesky Numbers Can Dampen One's Spirit

Great Budget-Friendly Options for Orange Greatness

We often equate money with quality and most often that's the standard pro quo with decorating. If you're like me you often see that 'gotta-have' piece and it's ridiculously expensive. That's when I'm motivated to find a look-alike for much less, and the computer makes looking and finding a cheaper version of a similar design much easier. Don't get discouraged; there's always a good replacement if I look hard enough.

Long-Term Relationships:

White and Orange Bedding Set that Lasts

It's always a 'party' when I happen upon a bedding set this inexpensive that has the potential to outlive your car loan--now, that's impressive, indeed.

Seriously though, I can see this same bed set working with any number of fun accessories, lighting and wall art; throw in a fin accentor area rug and you've one happy, sunshiny space your girl-to teen will love; just change out a few posters and you're good to go until your girl's next craze-phase.

How neat is that?

What's your fave in orange and white design?

Don't Let Patterns Run Wild

control the stripes; corrall the swirls

This modern and geometric bright orange and white bedding here, has plenty of punch all by themselves with its zesty, ama-ZING! detail.

It's this vibrancy that you'll need to keep corralled to your space's focal point, lest your bedroom be taken over by a zoo of dizzying swirls, geos, stripes and whatever design you've gone overboard on.

Keep your bedding's design to the bed; allow it space to breath and use solids in orange or white everywhere else. You'll be asking, 'Orange you glad you did?' I know: silly  but I couldn't resist!

A word about accent hues

it's all about balance

If you're not steadfast on white and orange bedding, consider adding an accent color or two, as more color means more options for decor.

I don't recommend that too much space on your comforter or duvet be dedicated to other hues; keep it mainly your themed orange and white with a splash or hint of another accent color as shown in these sets.

I'm absolutely loving the orange and white comforter set above, with its blaze of multi-color. The decorator brought the space back to the orange and white palette with the walls, furniture and that amazing orange vase--too cool.

Balance your color with white window sheers and walls.

In all, keep balance in a ratio of 3:1, with three pieces being orange and/or white supported by your accent colors.

If your bedding is a bit 'off' you can always bring it back adding more of your themed colors.

Getting the Color Duo in the Proportion You Want

You can also influence the appearance of bedding with the addition of sheets. Bedding that lacks enough orange or orange that's a shade or two off can be brought into your desired spectrum by adding a top sheet a turning down the comforter to expose the orange. Throw pillows can do the trick as well.

For bedding that's lacking vibrancy, add bright orange accessories. If it's too much orange, dilute it with white.

Experiment with color until you're satisfied. It''s your space; make it truly your own!

Do you want more orange or white?

A Play on Color:

add white or orange sheets

Solids are a great way to make a space your space. While the solid orange comforter above seems less than exciting, you have every decor option available to you.

With solids you can decorate a kid's, teen's or adult's bedroom with the same bed set.

How neat is that for choices?

Those White Walls

Once upon a time, I loathed white walls. But those were the days when I was woefully mistaken and here's one fabulous example of how white walls work well--extremely well.

With the energy this orange and white comforter set betrays, walls of any color aren't necessary if you're not able or up to painting. It's the blank-slate walls that allow the bedding to shine tenfold. I love it.

Don't you?
