Stainless Steel Drinking Straws Are so Metal

There are straws made of stainless steel, and these are those. A yup!

Think of what you love about drinking straws. I know what I love is how handy they are. I also know that the handier a product is, the more likely I am to use it.

Straws are fun.

I have memories of loving straws when I was a kid.

Kids love straws for their simplicity and playfulness, but as a parent, you may not so much love plastic straws the way you may have back in the day.

Thank goodness then, for stainless steel straws, which are reusable, and it is hard to shake a straw at that. (I know the phrase is "shake a stick". It's just -- well -- I make a lot of silly jokes in my life. Think of it as "The Regi B Way". It will go down a little easier that way.)

The Handy House Stainless Steel Drinking Straws

The people at The Handy House know how to help us all use less plastic.

They sell a pack of four bent steel straws with a special cleaning tool in a set.

This set has an average Amazon review above four stars. That is pretty cool and pretty quality. (Yes, I repeated "pretty". It's a pretty word.)

StainlessLUX Drinking Straws

The StainlessLUX people stress the luxurious nature of their stainless steel drinking straws. To me, the reason to use steel straws for beverages is the fact you can wash them and reuse them, yet they will not deteriorate as fast as plastic straws, and they reduce the plastic (and chemicals) used to make straws.

That said, if you can acheive luxury in a straw, I say by all means, do it!

When to Use a Reusable Stainless Steel Straw

Just in case the question arises, use a reusable stainless steel straw when you:

Drink juice,
Have a frozen beverage,
Consume gelatin -- awkwardly,
Find yourself fighting rascals, scamps, hoodlums, and other ne'erdowells -- stainless steel straws, for defense in a pinch!
