Star Wars Lego Christmas Decorations

by JoHarrington

Fans of Lego and Star Wars both will find a treat for their Christmas tree each year. Star Wars Christmas Ornaments with a Lego look!

It appears that Lucasfilm, Lego and Hallmark have made an alliance to bring some quite charming figurines to the stores this Christmas.

'Star Wars' figures have been given a Lego make-over and stand ready to brighten up your boughs. Who needs angels, when you can have a Sith Lord? (It's probably best not to muse upon that philosophical point too deeply.)

These 'Star Wars' Lego ornaments are collectors items, which will be added to every year.

Lego Star Wars Christmas Ornament Collection

Artist Orville Wilson has designed these unique Star Wars Christmas Tree ornaments. This Canadian fan always wanted to make a living from his art. As a teenager, he made sure that he was noticed by touring art fairs and conventions with his work.

That's one way to realize your dreams!  Now he's the main creative force behind many of Hallmark's Star Wars ornaments, including these Lego inspired collectors' pieces.

Each year, another Star Wars Lego figure is added to the Christmas ornaments, and they look amazing.

2014 Star Wars Lego Christmas Decoration: Boba Fett!

New for 2014 is bounty hunter Boba Fett, the mysterious Chaotic Neutral character in the Star Wars series. Might save your Jedi; might opt for the Dark Side of the Force.

But then certain events in Return of the Jedi play out, and Boba Fett is privy to a rather unscheduled solo flight. The rest, as they say, is history and Lego. Enjoy this year's Hallmark Lego Star Wars ornament to add to your collection!  I think it looks great.

2013 Star Wars Lego Christmas Decoration: Yoda!

New for 2013 is the first member of the Rebel Alliance to be given the Lego treatment. Where else could you begin but with Yoda?

Surely I don't have to introduce this character?  It's freaking Yoda!  One of the higher echelons of the Jedi knights, and the one who trained Luke Skywalker after the demise of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

For Star Wars geeks all over the world (in fact, make that galaxies), Yoda is a by-word for wisdom, patience and becoming the very best that you can be. He's practically the Force personified.

2012 Star Wars Lego Christmas Decoration: Stormtrooper!

New for 2012 is a representative of the military might within the Empire. This Imperial Stormtrooper keeps law and order within a galaxy filled with disparate beings. When the rebels threaten the omnipotence of the Emperor, then it's the stormtroopers on the front line defending their Sith masters.

Not exactly what I'd imagine as an appropriate Christmas figurine, but perhaps more honest than most.

2011 Star Wars Lego Christmas Decoration: Darth Vader!

To launch the Star Wars Lego Christmas decoration collection in 2011, there needed to be a famous figure from that universe.

There are few more infamous than Darth Vader.  Star Wars fans have watched him grow and change, and change back again, from boyhood through to death and the Other Side.

On the surface, this dread Sith may appear not quite in the spirit of Christmas. But take the long view and his personal biography is all about redemption.  What could be better to muse upon amongst the glitter and soft glow of a festive home?

More Festive Star Wars Gifts

Most people make do with a classy line of white lights; others with the glorious festive burst of flashing, colored lights. But you're a geek and you know what you want.
Forget angels! Forget a star! We want Star Wars! What, in the whole vast universe, could be finer than sticking Yoda on top of your tree? Be honest now!
For the geek Christmas dinner table, there is something very special to place in the center. Yule logs are sooo 19th century. How about Boba Fett instead?
No idea what to buy for a huge fan of Star Wars? Never fear, help is at hand! Here is a collection of the biggest Star Wars presents for Christmas 2012. Happy shopping!

I might have known you'd be looking at Star Wars decorations!

You know, I was thinking precisely that as I was writing this article. When I was a kid, Lego was just bricks. There was none of this fancy stuff. No leaping into franchises like Star Wars.

More's the pity. :p

Legos were always the greatest toy when I was young. They have so many really expensive pieces or sets now too. I guess I just never would have imagined collectible Legos... But there are! And so many different kinds as well. I can really see these as must have pieces for some really avid Lego collectors.

Or Star Wars collectors xD
