Who is Sara Krentz?

by Moonbeam973

I noticed the Wizzography when I was editing my profile and thought it would be fun to utilize it.

I have too many interests to keep up with them all! Because of that, I frequently downgrade certain projects and activities, while I shift my focus to something else. For example, I've been learning Spanish, but right now that's on the back burner while I focus on writing and furthering my yoga practice. Next month, I might be focusing on Spanish and Zazzle more than anything else. I like to rotate my interests, so that I stay busy and mentally & physically active without getting burned out. Lately, I've been meaning to try sketching and/or doodling, but I haven't gotten around to that yet.

*The photo is from my personal collection. It was taken outside of Lake Shasta Caverns in California.

Various Topics

I started out on Shared Reviews (if you read any of my early product reviews, please do not judge - I am unable to delete them). Eventually, I moved onto Squidoo, which is my favorite platform for publishing content online. Then, I started fiddling around on Triond, but I wasn't having much fun (or traffic) on there. So, I moved most of my Triond content over to Wizzley, and I'm liking it much better here. There's a nice sense of community, the content seems to be higher quality overall, and I like the format better.

Recently, I started a blog, but I haven't yet settled on a niche topic. In the future, I hope to start adding content that will be useful to others. I plan to explore a few different subjects until I find one that just flows freely.

I've also been contemplating writing a short fiction story. I have several ideas floating around upstairs, but I'll need to either sort them out into different stories or find a way to fit them all together. So far, it's pretty twisted.

Yoga Practitioner

Moving Meditation

It started with a Bikram class several years ago, and it's been a part of my life ever since. I mostly practice vinyasa flow and ashtanga these days. My practice makes me feel stronger, both mentally and physically, more flexible, and more serene than I ever did before. I only wish I had found it sooner.

Yoga is a moving form of meditation, as you must maintain focus during your practice. If you allow your mind to wander, the postures will be sloppy, you'll lose your balance, and you may get frustrated. Concentration on the breath is crucial.

Amateur Photographer

and Novice Designer

I don't know a lot about cameras, but I love taking pictures! I frequently see things that make me wish I'd brought along a camera. (The one on my cell phone never fails to disappoint me). Animals, trees, flowers, and even strange objects and interesting road signs appeal to me.

I don't get to travel often, but when I do, I enjoy it immensely, and I shoot as many pictures as I can. In my enthusiasm, I tend to take them from inside a moving vehicle or along the roadside, which means sometimes only a few of the shots are good ones.

Many of my photographs are landscapes that were taken on hikes and walks. I wanted to share some of my favorites, so I fit them onto products at Zazzle and CafePress. Below, I've featured some of my Zazzle designs.

Hiker

and Fitness Enthusiast

Hiking is one of my favorite forms of exercise. I enjoy being outside, connecting with nature, and observing the beauty around me. Out in the forest, away from the sounds of traffic and the sight of people talking on cell phones, I feel peaceful and connected to the Universe.

I can't go hiking every day, but I love feeling strong and able bodied, and if I haven't exercised in a few days, I simply don't feel right. I become irritable and out of sorts. So, on most days, I either practice yoga, lift weights, power walk or do intervals of walking and sprinting. I try to round it out for maximum benefit.

Below is a short video clip from a hike my sweetie and I took in Olympic National Park.

Who Loves to Eat

I'm a little surprised that I enjoy cooking. I took shop classes in high school; I'm not really a home economics type of girl. But I really do like to cook! I should qualify that by saying as long as I have time to cook. If I'm tired or starving, I'm not going to feel like spending any more time on dinner than it takes to call Domino's.

When I'm not feeling rushed or stressed, cooking is sort of a meditative experience. Especially the prep work, such as chopping vegetables. It's fun to get creative and add my own personal touches to recipes. And it feels good knowing exactly what went into what me and my guy are eating.

There really IS too much to get distracted by! Thank you, Meagan for taking the time to read my wizzography : )

Nice to meet you Sara! We have a lot of interests in common - except I'm a pilates girl - and I tend to continually jump between between different projects and activities too. Sometimes I wish I could be more focused but there is just too much interesting and fun stuff to do!
