Thanks Mira :) Yep, the older we get the worse we look after a big night out!

Honeymoon Cruises. Is a honeymoon cruise right for us?
Hi Mira, thank you for that nice feedback :) Yes, there is certainly a lot of info about cruises out there, Dustytoes, that's a good point about seasickness - I might add something else to the article. We had pretty calm waters and was just a ...

Have You Ever Eaten Duck Eggs?
I used to raise ducks for eggs and for demos with my herding dogs. I had Indian runners mostly for the demos, but they are excellent layers. I loved the khaki Campbells for eggs and they herd for the dogs too.

Talking to Somebody Who is Deaf in One Ear
I would certainly get behind that suggestion! I don't think I've ever seen unilateral hearing on a single television show. It's not really rock and roll enough for a sitcom. LOL I wish that you were in charge of all school curriculae.

Should You Tell People That You are Deaf in One Ear?
Actually writing these articles is such a boon. I just show them to one or more of the people I'm with, let them read, then see the room suddenly become deaf friendly! The person who taught me sign language is completely deaf, so is her ...

Cinderella: we can all relate with her, can't we?
Beautiful writing! Cinders is great but I have never felt like her.

Lego Alarm Clocks
Great for the early birds, all right. You have a point too, because the clocks are great play things as well as educational toys. Lego are very clever indeed. Thank you, Tolovaj, for commenting and taking the time to read the article.

Talking to Somebody Who is Deaf in One Ear
I think such information as you share on unilateral hearing should be learned in school. Maybe they should make seminars, each on a certain topic related to various conditions people experience throughout their lives. It seems to me that when it ...

Cards Against Humanity
Well Jean, it is perhaps not everyone's cup of tea but it is a good icebreaker as you point out. It sure is popular as two expansion packs have now been released.

Should You Tell People That You are Deaf in One Ear?
I imagine they should be able to regenerate those cells in a few years' time. I think David Lodge in Deaf Sentence said something to that effect, too. I can't believe though that people who understand what unilateral hearing involves make it ...

Is Your Home Safe for a Deaf Person?
Yes, please do review it, as I've not heard of the book before. :) And I would advocate having fire alarms in your apartment building. You need all the time that you can get to escape that!

Is Your Home Safe for a Deaf Person?
I imagine this helps a lot of people. I'm reading David Lodge's Deaf Sentence at the moment (wondering whether to do a review about it when I finally get to finish it), and learned so many things about life as a hearing-impaired person. He says ...

Wedding Planning Advice for the Groom
This was a fun article. I chuckled at the last piece of advice -- I imagine it's so true that the groom needs time to recover after the bachelor party :-)
