I thought you'd like those!

The space pictures are pretty great!

Thanks :)

:D I look forward to reading it.

Now there's an idea ;)

Ah! I get what you mean now. Yes, I can see how that would be really useful in counseling. Perhaps there's an article in there for you?

Depends on whether it's for adults or kids. Non-directive play therapy has always been very big on personal symbolism. With children creating their own meaningful symbols through play. Art therapy is the same regardless of whether it's for adults or kids.

A lot of counselors working with adults encourage bereaved clients to explore, express and remember in a way that's symbolically important to them. In memorial services conducted by disease-related organizations there are usually symbolic activities for those who attend to take part in. These are more generalized (e.g. lighting of a candle for the deceased) given it's for multiple losses in many families - but the concept is still present.

I've been to America twice, once for a month. The whole tipping business did my head in! It's not that I didn't want to tip, more that I didn't know when, how much or how to work it all out. It got so I'd end up really anxious about it and so not enjoy being in places.

Fortunately, most of the time I was with Americans, who just worked it out and let me know. That was much better! I could relax then. I wish those places with lots of overseas tourism would just put a guide on the wall.

Thank you for writing this. It will be really useful for those going over there.

Why thank you! I do use public domain art too, but I like to use my own when I can.

How is it being used in counseling? Sorry! This is all passive learning for me. :)

Yes I can see why it would be your preference for sure. Personal symbolism has become important in other areas such as counseling. I hope it will eventually make it's way throughout all areas that are related to grief and loss.

Wow! You are seriously talented! I thought you'd got other people's art and used it on your merchandise. Then I read it and my jaw dropped. Well done!

Hi Katie,
Thanks for the visit! Glad you enjoyed. Take care.

I love black and white photos and yours are wonderful. Although I love digital photography for snapshots and the web, using film made you slow down and compose an image. You might want to explain what an SLR camera is
