This is all great advice and very well put. I'm moving soon to a new home where I will finally (again) have a yard. It is small, but once I trim the overgrown trees and hedges I am sure I will find the perfect spot to plant vegies.

A lot of the wwoofing hosts accept families - in many places around the world. Just join the wwoof organization in the country you wish to visit and you will get the full list of farms/enterprises together with email addresses and phone numbers and check with the hosts in the area you want to visit and they will let you know.

This sound great and very much like my kind of traveling. i always enjoyed most in places where I got a chance to mix with locals. I never particularly liked hotels and similar places made for tourists.

Hi, Sheri. Affiliate links are links like every other links. If you give a link from any page to any other page (example: from wizzley/yourarticle to amazon/product) you are voting up the page you are linking.

This means in search engine results the amazon/product will (or at least should) be listed higher than wizzley/yourarticle and people will more likely click the page with the article than your page AND link to the page with the article you are promoting. If these people buy the product, yo will not get any provision because they found the product directly, not through your article.

This is of course only in theory, because the power of links depends on many factors (number of links, related content, age of links - well, I am working on this article right now, but it is not ready yet), but in general if you link to any page you are voting this page up and it will very likely beat your article in search engine results for at least some keywords.

On the other side: with nofollow attribute you are giving only link to the product. This link doesn't give authority (or at least it should not) and it is not understood as vote up in the eyes of search engines. Link with nofollow tag should be used in all affiliate cases if you don't want to compete with your articles against pages with products you are promoting.

One more thing: all sale modules in Squidoo are by default set on nofollow. This is done with very good reason.

Wow, how amazing that he wrote a book. I agree that everyone should, even if it's just handed out as a manuscript to their children and grandchildren. There's just so much in a person's life that that person is taking to the grave, and it's a terrible shame.
