You've reminded me of when I was little. I must have been about eight or nine and behind our flats was a green. There was a hawthorn bush hedge, which was old and bedraggled enough to have gaps in it. Perfect for dens for us kids!

Mine was the one which the spiders favored. It was great, because none of the other kids would invade my den. They'd crowd into the ones either side instead. :D

LOL I was so thinking that, when I looked at these. I think we'd look adorable in adult-sized ones too. :)

There was no tradition of this when I was little. But I really wish that there was. It's so cute to see the little ones in them now.

Oh what fun, I remember dressing the girls up each year and all the pictures are priceless memories. Do take lots of pictures of your darlings all dressed up in the cute vampire costumes. These are adorable. Do you think they come in my size???? :)K

I'm back as my youngest daughter has me feeling a bit of silly guilt. It's funny who this can creep up on you. She's a freshman in high school this fall. My baby is all grown up. I began feeling a twinge of guilt over all the things I meant to do this summer with her and her sister. Time flies by doesn't it? Any way while we did most everything on my list and many added by both girls I had to remind myself I game plan is not written in stone, its good intentions everyone doesn't always adhere to. Anyway good to have this helpful reassurance on guilt.

Hey Girls, Great to hear from all of you. I'm not afraid of spiders. I think they are like dogs and appreciate non fearing humans.

When I was 11 years old I was climbing one of our apple trees. My favorite after school snack fresh from the tree. This happened to be an early Saturday morning quest. The spiders had left webs all about the trees. I was of little concern when my face became smothered in a particularly large web or multiple webs. I brushed them off haphazardly proceeding on to that beautiful apple I had my eye on. Within a few moments I felt a bit of a sting under my eye. Being the nature loving girl I continued on with little to no concern. Later my face swelled and off to the doctor it was for me. I had been bitten by a spider. My face became horrid, rotted flesh consumed the horrific bite as it crept across my face. It was a scary experience. Being a young girl I was SOOOO embarrassed to go to school. I was frightening. It did heal nicely and to this day there is no evidence of any such incident. I still like spiders. They do so much for us and are amazing spinners!

I've just spent days cleaning up my garage from last years move into the house. I saved it as one of the last places to organize. It's a great feeling to be able to move in there now. Love your ideas for storing things - especially that Tool Corner Rack.

I've never been scared of spiders, but I have plenty of friends who are. I usually the one brought in to evict our eight-legged friends. :)

That said, I did see a scary story on Reddit. A young woman got bitten by one and had an allergic reaction. The photographs were astounding. Her whole face became unrecognizable. She survived it though and afterwards you would never have been able to tell.

As a child I was terrified of spiders, but now I find them fascinating. Like Ragtimelil, I tend to remove them from my living space, however. The morning dew on their webs is always beautiful to see.
