A few things I would add:
1. Think of a niche (area of expertise) you think you would like to write about.
2. Think of titles for a series of articles (as you suggest).
3. Then do a synonym check on your main words (there are sites where you can do this - just type in the word and 'synonym' in the search box).
4. Use the tool often forgotten as an SEO tool - the search phrase completion function available for many search engine search boxes - you know, that annoying drop-down you get when you start to type your search query. Why use this - because it shows a list of the most searched terms starting with the letters you have already entered. The list you get is in the order highest number of searches to lowest. It is important to use keyword research tools, but they do not necessarily tell you the actual keyword phrases being entered - this does.

@Angel - HP and Wizzley seem to have slightly different algorithms for calculating author score. And there are many more established people writing at HP, so one might expect that they have made tweaks to their algorithm in order to limit the number of those that are at 100 at any one time.
The reason for this article was to argue the case that author score does have an impact, whether it be active or passive. Your audience is influenced if they see you have a high author score - it is simple psychology.
Perhaps you could let me know if you have seen any significant increase in any of your statistics, now that you have reached 100.

You're mixing up cause and effect - if you have traffic and comments on your articles- your author score will go because your article score goes up - and the 2 are related.

An interesting and inspiring read. I'm glad that you are keeping writing. I must admit that I like HubPages and am here at Wizzley as well as, rather than instead of, HubPages - but I understand your concerns.

A good little overview of some top affiliate programs. With Clickbank you just have to get past the overhyped garbage on there and find the gems that are often available on there, niche specific things like drawing manga and get paid to draw which are a couple I promote because I in fact bought them through my own affiliate link and went through them myself and they were reasonably good value and again in depth niche topics that people are actively searching for.

And you'll find that people are not at all technically minded to actually clear cookies, sure they may have a program that is set to erase them from their cache but others do not.

But then there are those who will answer, "I don't know?" You quickly can sort that out. I know exactly who not to ask a question. Questioning is terribly bothersome to some folks. Maybe they are lazy, perhaps trying to answer a question unveils how little they know about something, but you can tell quickly who wants to listen to anything but a question. Good take on how to answer your own questions!
