I usually have ideas, but I lack time. i also often have the bad idea to write about stuff that don't do well (but I loke the topic). I need, as AJ, to try and do more writing with income in mind.

Excellent tutorial and reference for Wizzley HTML. Thank you so much for putting it together.

Thanks people for your comments!
@Lissie - I've been around just very busy!
Thanks for introducing me here!

Thanks for this great article. I wondered if you ever do any promotion or do you just wait on Google or whatever search engine to send the traffic? I like the way you write.

Really useful information and nicely put together

We actually do have a lot of uneven floors in our home. We've successfully had laminate wood floors installed in all those rooms with no trouble so yes that's a good alternative to carpet.

Excellent piece on writing for money and very clear! Well done.

Spectacular piece of advice on writing for money! :)

How long is the hose

Although I have an account at Flickr and set different licenses to my photos, I realize that if it's online, there is risk of its being misused. People need to be aware that there are truly no safeguards. As my mom says, "Locks only keep honest men out." We hope that people use integrity, but that is not always the case.
As far as Pinterest, I welcome people pinning my photos as long as they are linked back to the blog post or article. This is one reason for removing links from photos. If there are links, people will often pin the photo (.jpg or .png) URL rather than the article where the photo is used. I have seen loads of traffic from Pinterest.
If your photo is of a craft, a food, or something to create, people WILL come visit your article to get the directions.

Thanks for the help for making an attractive lens or page!

Really sound advice, Katie. Great article!

I love backgammon. It's a combination of skill and luck in equal measure I think.

This is the first time that I've come across Hilvers, as a surname or anything else. Have an unusual surname can be a blessing though. It means that whenever you come across it in the records, there's a high probability that you have found a relative.

Of course, then the trick is to find out from what the surname was formed. That can be difficult, but you're well on your way there.

I visited Ellis Island once, where I learned that many people entering America asked for American names. They specifically changed their names to signify a new life; and they wanted to fit in there. Your family might have done the same. It's worth checking the Ellis Island records for anyone called Hilversum from Holland.

Nice heritage there!

Hi Diane - nice to see you here - haven't "seen" you around much recently!
