Public aquariums and zoos find it frustrating to furnish the lowland-primary and the peat-swamp forest habitats that feature otter civets and otter-civet prey.

Online information indicates nothing as to whether or not otter civets inhabit private aquariums, collections and zoos.

For those asking about captive otter-civet diets, the latter-announced species avoids such access even as otter civets are on the severe-population decline lists with CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) Appendix II and IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature).

Farming activities over Shetland islands and isles intrigues me.

What drinks and foods might you and your wife have munched in Shetland-islands and Shetland-isles stops and on the cruise ship?

We treat the Shetland economy as a single reality so the isles are treated as one element. The oil industry is not specific to any individual island. Farming, tourism and the wool trade are activities that spread over several isles.

The last paragraph on Shetland's economy discusses the oil boom and the wind-power possibility.

Do any other Shetland islands and isles domicile such economic possibilities?

The fruits that they eat ensure that otter-civet diets entail enough moisture.

Wetland fruits hold their moisture within and without even as they have moistened interiors from their plant retaining and releasing external moisture internalized and internal moisture internalized and externalized.

The afore-mentioned edibles maintain moist exteriors from such external moisture as dew and rain drops and from internal moisture externalized.

The computer crashed afore I communicated another component of my comment below.

Otter civets access fresh water from such water bodies as wetland ponds, pools, rivers, streams and swamps.

The afore-indicated species also ingests such fallen-, falling-, running-water sources as precipitation and transpiration droplets on plant parts and as rain-filled surface-vegetated depressions.

For those asking about otter-civet drink preferences, water sources avail them their drinks.

The above-designated species delights in clean, fresh water.

Otter civets inhabit moist, wet environments even as they incline toward falling rainwater and water bodies.

Cruise ships are large so they need to avoid shallow, rocky waters, so they follow safe waters. When we visited Shetland we anchored in a large harbour and passengers came ashore in launches. Obviously, smaller boats can enter more shallow waters. Cruise ships follow agreed sea routes.

Otter civets address their otter-diet side even as they appreciate aquatic-ambiance animals.

The afore-designated species digest crabs, crayfish, mussels, small freshwater fish and snails.

Otter civets like their small freshwater fish fresh and surface-lodged.

Otter civets attend to their civet-diet side even as they allow themselves fresh birds, fruits and small mammals.

The afore-indicated species inhabits aquatic and aquatic-area ambiances even as otter civets therefore ingest aquatic mammals and aquatic-area birds and fruits.

For those asking about primary-food preferences of otter civets, the latter species inclines toward aquatic prey.

Otter civets delight in such aquatic prey as crabs, crayfish, shellfish, snails and small freshwater fishes.

Do cruise ships and "ordinary" boats dock at inhabited and uninhabited islands and isles with or without some governmental-, private- or public-entity knowledge, consent and approval before, during or after the fact?

Yes, there is a well-organised tourist industry. When I visited the Shetlands we had a good guide to went with us on the coach which we used when we did a tour. The coach was hired by the cruise company which took us to the Shetlands. There are hotels.

Do all Shetland isles and islands, inhabited or uninhabited, have tourist accommodations, guides and sites?
