Cars was the 2006 blockbuster movie from Disney/Pixar that featured Larry the Cable Guy as the voice of Mater the tow truck. Mater became one of the movies most popular characters, and Disney later released a series of animated shorts featuring Mater telling stories of his past adventures. These tall tales, known Cars Toons, were originally shown on the Disney Channel, Disney XD and Toon Disney, and were later collected and released on the Mater's Tall Tales DVD.
