See that can below...filled with a caramel colored sauce? It's my homemade dulce de leche. Literally translated it means candy of milk.
And OMG! what a taste fiesta that reminded me of the soft caramels wrapped in waxed paper that I always seek out when my family and I are playing at the Oregon coast.
I think if I'd cooked it another hour or so it would have had the consistency of those soft caramels versus the rather addictive confectionery sauce that literally drizzled off my fork.
There is always next time to try that, right?
