Can I get some feedback, please?

Help! My Articles Keep Getting Rejected

Hey

I will admit right now I am not the best writer, however I do try my best to produce work that is of the highest quality I can do.

I love how great the Wizzley text editor is, and the community seems very friendly also.

This is now my 4 post, with the other 3 being blocked. I would like all the feedback possible to help me keep this page published.

Or if its pure crap with no hope of publication please say. It will be sad having to leave the site but maybe one day I could come back if/when my writing improves.

Here it is:

Looking at it, I would say it needs an introduction above the table of contents - there isn't enough text above the fold.

Hi, at a quick glance, I see several spelling and grammar errors, and a lot of repetitive text.  I would expand this by offering your personal experience with these, more description, and more variety.  The page just looks like an advertising page right now, and it would do better if you could make it more into an article or review about the product.

I agree with Rose and Paula. You need to work a bit more on your presentation skills - your articles are too "thin". Since you are trying to sell something, you need to come up with compelling arguments written in proper English. Otherwise, your sales pitch falls flat at the first impression.

Sometimes, when you can't find enough useful things to say about a product, it may be better to consolidate several items in one article, perhaps under a title such as "party toys", "inflatable toys", "remote-controlled toys", or similar things, depending on your overall topic.

Perhaps you can get help with your writing? Proper grammar and spelling go a long way on Wizzley, even if the overall content is a bit on the "thin" side.

I'm going to mark your "Air Swimmers" for correction, so you can work on it some more, ok?

Thanks all for the advice. I think I will spend some time working on my punctuation and grammatical skills then come back in the future.

On a side note I think what is being built here if the moderation is kept to the high standards its currently at  will thrive and become even more popular with google.

Hopefully one day my writing skills will be good enough to allow me to be part of this site and community.

Sorry for being a burden on the site due to my poor articles, it was not my intention.

Regards

SBW

We appreciate your willingness to learn and to communicate, SBW. Don't despair - you're pretty close. Maybe you have a friend who can help with proof-reading your content. Also, visit our top articles and see what other people do. Try to read a lot - articles and books - and soon you'll get a better feel for good sentence structure. Always use a spell checker with your writing.

Best wishes,

Chef Keem  Smile

 Hey chefkeem

Thanks for the advice. I have been reading a lot of the best articles on the site to help.

I will definitely be back in a few months and hopefully by then I will be up to the standards required.

Keep up the good work and please don’t turn into a hubpages, were everything has gone in-house.

Regards

SBW

OK, scratch this reply. 2011? Hmm. Why was it at the top of the pile?

Described by one of my clients as 'a literary grammarian', writing, researching and reading are requirements for sanity, at least this side of the keyboard.

There was another, recent thread with the same title. The author requested his removal from Wizzley, and then--mysteriously--this old post wiggled its way up. Thanks for always trying to help, Paula. Next time, perhaps.  Smile

All of my posts (granted I posted 6 in one day) got blocked immediately. Is there anyway chefkeem can tell me exactly what I need to work on? I think I have an idea, but can't take anymore rejection. Would love to fix them and put them back up. Anyway admin can see my blocked posts?

Thank you!!

We're looking for unique, useful and attractive pages that encourage social sharing. We prefer content that can't be found anywhere else on the web. So does Google.

You wrote 6 fragments of the same topic, which look like typical "SEO articles" for the sole purpose of getting backlinks. There's not much unique about your content. It's mainly re-written info that's already out there on many other sites.

Oo, thank you so much for responding! Tried to do something a bit different by making a top 10 list... would it have helped if the entire top 10 list was in one article, with much more brief explanations? That's why the titles were so similar. Or is the content itself not good? Thank you, we really do appreciate the feedback!

Your content is not good. (For us, at least. Perhaps you should post it on relevant niche sites.)

As I've said above, we're looking for unique and useful stuff, not rehashed info for the purpose of offering your services.
