Restored Math Textbook Review Pages from Squidoo

I had a bunch of pages that came down with Squidoo, and I recently started restoring them, starting with the highest-traffic ones, making a few small changes and improvements like adding new editions and fixing broken links and improving some of the text.

These were very popular pages, and on Squidoo made a significant number of sales.  My #1 one was the calculus reviews one, which has already been up, but I recently published some others.  Here they are in order of past popularity:

The calculus one hasn't recovered in traffic, unfortunately.  It used to bring in 100-200 visits a month, and it's now creeped up to about 10 visits a month, which is a fraction of its original traffic.

I'd love any feedback or tips about how to restore the prominence of these pages. I'm hoping that getting all of the pages back up (which I plan to have completed soon) will help produce some synergy.  I was also thinking of reaching out to some of the authors of the books if they have homepages (most professors who author books do) where they might want to link to the reviews.

You could think of getting it back up to the original number if you had permanent redirects from Squidoo. But since you don't have that you're just gonna have to wait and hope that it gets its original spot on the SERP's back.

You've got your series of books linked together on your sidebars and with a module on each page, so that's good.  If you have twitter, google+ or pinterest accounts, you could promote them there.  If you belong to a facebook writing group, use that, too, or look for a group for mathematics or studying for college or something similar.  And when you update a page, ping it (I use Pingomatic).  Wizzley pings new articles, but not every time you update one.

I know on Amazon, you can do reviews on any product.  They MIGHT let you add a link to your Wizzley article - I don't know because I don't do book reviews.  And it might not be the right time of year. School semesters are already in session, so be sure and promote your pages again before each new semester begins, when students have to buy books.

(I have two Wizzley articles that are related to autumn and they're now rated at 3% and 2%.  But I know interest will rise in a few more months).

I've definitely started sharing these on my social media accounts.

I'm planning to do it gradually, over time.  I was thinking of, especially for Tumblr, sharing them gradually with possibly many items for each page, for example, I could share a picture of each book's cover as a photo, and then have a caption linking to the full review pages.  I notice when I do this people sometimes reblog the pics, and then it gets out to more of an audience.  I also can make multiple posts without repetition this way.

I've definitely noticed the interest in the textbook review pages following the semester schedule. I do tend to get a small boost of traffic near the start of both spring and fall semesters, and that's particularly when I make the most sales.

I also added a few links from one website I control.  Unfortunately, most of the sites I control are tea-related and thus not quite as relevant...
