... I think it "looks" good, hope it performs :) (or is this a glitch in my matrix?)

Na, it's a testing phase - some say it looks good right, some left, so we try and measure the click results. In about two weeks we know more about the outcome ... |

That's what I thought was happening (since there was no announcement this kind of thing is often a test)... I love the way it looks right away, but I think that's due to my being used to seeing it that way natively- I work for an SEO type and he swears by the right side placement, I also like how it kind of consolidates the ads into one corner nicely- doesn't look like a billboard or anything but puts the ads seperate more than it did on the left... Can't wait to hear the results :) Jerrico |

The ad block is now in exactly the place where eyes alight first when a page is opened. Those that know say that this has a positive impact on clickthrough rates. I will be interested to know the outcome of this test. Personally, I prefer it if it works, but despise it if it does not. Be careful from an SEO point of view. If it works it could have a negative impact on bounce rate. Https://chazfox.com/

OMG my adsense shot up to 400.00 since the new adsense block change!
I wish. But it may happen! Keep the faith! I'm pretty sure it will generate more click through's than on the left... |

The CTR of the top AdSense block has already been pretty good, so we don't really *expect* an improvement, but trying doesn't hurt. If it actually increases the revenue, we'll either move the right AdSense square to the bottom of the sidebar, switching it with the smaller link unit, or we'll simply force it to *always* show images. Since both actions may reset Google's optimization/statistics of these units, we don't want to touch them until getting a good hint that the right aligned top AdSense results in an improvement. |

I like that, I like having one block always show images and one showing text, it should make it seamless next to one another and I gotta say I'm REALLY loving the way the block moving to the right cleans up my pages- it looks more "comfortable"... |

Mixing things up often wakes the brain drawing their attention to the ads whereas the creature of habit in us becomes desensitized to the norm. Brilliant idea.

I like it on the left better. I know it's not just for looks so I'll wait and see what you guys decide. It looks like a spammy ad page to me now. |
