I was just thinking the other day. Well, daydreaming really.

Wouldn't it be great if someone read your article and wanted you to write for them?

Then I got to wondering if this has happened to any of the writers here on Wizzley?

It's a nice thought. Would be a great opportunity while I'm waiting to earn my millions here. LOL

I don't know about here on Wizzley, but I know of other people it's happened to on other websites. There are always talent scouts from publishing companies out there looking for great talent.

Someone found a article I wrote for HubPages, A New York Creative Director and contacted me to buy the rights to publish the particular play I wrote the article linked to. This turned out to be a very exciting proposition still in the works...

I've also been asked to write for people on this site and others where I publish work . Nothing moving me toward fame and wealth but a very nice honor all the same.

Wow that's exciting. Even if you're not paid a good deal it would be nice to know that someone really thinks you're a good writer.

Actually, that's how Wizzley was born in the first place ...

Simon and Hans, the founders of pagewizz.com (our German mother/sister/or something site), discovered another German-born online author on Squidoo: Me.

After they had built and run pagewizz for a year, or so, they contacted me through my Squidoo profile, and asked me to have a look at their site. I loved it so much, I signed up and started writing articles in my native tongue again. What a relearning experience it was, after 30+ years in the US.

Then I suggested they hire me as a community manager for pagewizz. I knew I could share some valuable experience with our German writers.

A few months later, and in co-operation with my long-time Squidoo buddy, Anne (nightowl; another German native), we started discussing the possibilities of an English version of pagewizz ... well, the rest is history: We launched wizzley.com in May 2011.

All because Simon read my Squidoo lenses.

Achim "Chef Keem" Thiemermann is the co-founder of a pretty cool new platform called...um...er...oh, yeah - Wizzley.com.
