Chatter away, friends!

Hey! Where'd everybody go?

Am I looking at the forum threads all wrong? Near as I can tell, there hasn't been a lot of chatter on any of the threads the last couple of days. Some whole topic areas haven't had conversations in several days, maybe a month. Can this be true? I'd rather be wrong about it and red-faced, actually, so wise me up!

You're correct, Kathryn. We're not chit-chatting as much as some other sites, but we have a great support system in place, nonetheless. Smile

We're still here, though!

I guess we're all busy writing rather than chatting.

Thank you both. More time spent developing content. I like that. Still look for support here, right? Or is there another venue I should know about?

Yes, Kathryn - the forum is our great support system.

Been on vacation myself.  But so busy, hardly any time for chatting. ;)

Me too (busy). Setting up a new site (thanks Paula!) and checking into yet another online venture. Life can sure get in the way of chatting!

I love the layout of Wizzley compared to every other revenue sharing site I've used - however, I learnt after losing more than 50% of my earnings from the Hubpages panda slap that I needed to put my eggs in LOTS of baskets.

So now I have content on about five revenue sharing sites, plus about a dozen of my own sites. Plus working on writing a book. And have a baby due in 14 weeks. So busy busy!

I think the forum calm is so fantastic...it says a lot for the site!

There aren't tons of bugs, confusing obstacles needing help...ahh, I just really, really enjoy it here. Another site I was on felt like downtown LA...chaos and confusion. Here, I feel like I'm looking at the mountains, sitting by a lake...the serenity is fantastic.

That said, my traffic here is amazing, just after 3 lenses. I cannot believe the fast turn around and progress my articles are making.

What is also so neat is that a lot of Wizzlers communicate via articles, in the comments...that is so great as well. A lot of great back and forth dialogue takes place in those comments.

Wizzley, I guess, just feels like home...if I need to post in the forum, I know you're all out there...and that feels really good.

Thank you, Robin and Jim, for this beautiful assessment of our fabulous Wizzley community.  Smile

I rather like that analogy of a serene environment that's conducive to quality writing. What's important is that help and support is never far should you need it.

Thank YOU for creating a site that feels clean, positive and pure in such a competitive and sometimes dark online world. Don't know how you did it...but you have something here we cannot find anywhere else...there is just no comparison to any other sites. You've created a world where the feel of community runs deep, yet individual skill reaps the rewards...no competition and climbing ladders up and down...no mysteries and hidden algorithms to figure out. Write. Have Fun. Get Rewarded For Your Work. As simple as that...

Robin and Jim

Elsewhere I have seen some remarks about how Wizzley is just a copy of other platforms. My response to that was that it seems to me that the founders of Wizzley have looked at what does work on other platforms and what definitely does NOT work and this is the result.

I love the analogies of Wizzley being a calm place.

But as to the absence of some members - well for me, I have spent the last six weeks having to put my writing on the back burner thanks to the ridiculous UK education system that decrees our kids have at least six weeks off for the summer break.

It is a tradition that started when children were needed to help with Harvest.

Hmmm....the only harvesting my kids have done is from my purse and my freezer.

I'm still around and still planning to do more on Wizzley. I've had a paid book-length writing project I've been working full-time on these last 5 or 6 weeks, with one more week to go.

In response to other comments here, I too enjoy the lack of drama and the fact that the site seems to run on well-oiled wheels. It also feels good having more than one place to write. I also have blogs and Zazzle stores so several things to keep me busy.

I will still be writing a new article here every once in awhile, but I've gone back to blog writing, so I can fit in the writing between the artwork, and publish even small pieces. I haven't the time for more right now. I hope everyone is doing well...
