The Official Wizzley Battleships Thread! Get Those Boats Moving!

This was all Jerrico_Usher's idea.  I just leapt onto it with both feet and a lot of laughter.  We've been playing for days.  Want to join us?

Wizzley Battleships was officially launched (with Jerrico's aiding and abetting) in my 250 Pages Tips and Tricks.  You can read more about it there.  But here are the salient points.  (SAIL-ient, see what I did there?  Yes, you may laugh.  Please laugh. >.>)

• Each new artlcle published on the Wizzley front page feed (right at the top, only works if you have an author rank of 90% or above) is a battleship.
• Get three in a row (all three articles there are yours) and you win that round!  

In the traditional gaming spirit of 'no pic, no proof', then we need a screenshot in this thread please.

• If someone has two articles and you publish one to break their run, then you've sunk their battleships. 
• Seek them out and brag.  :p   (But only if they're playing.  It might be a bit startling otherwise.)

NB  This is a game of timing and strategy.  If you rush out any old crap to win Wizzley Battleships, then you're likely to lose your author rank.  Then you've seriously lost the game.

hmm I sank two of yours I thought although I think I deleted the images... How about we start the game officially on the next posted "sinking" so we're all lined up at 0. Then we keep track in this thread, winners recieve a prize of mine and Jo's choice (I have lots of digital goodies I can give them/you like meditation CD downloads of my retail CD's or something, something fun and digital so we don't break any international "contest" laws lol... all in fun.

Maybe a free copy of my upcoming book "Wiztronics"? ah the stage is fun... I'm thinking we can expand this out to article quality as well. If you sink a battleship you post your image BUT we (me and Jo are the moderators of the game at this point I assume) will check the quality of the article and offer tips if any. I like that the game is self regulated by the author score- you can't post crap or wizzley themselves by proxy of automated filters (author score alg) pulls you out of the race! So it's a game of elite writers, the 90+ crowd, others shouldn't be dismayed, just be motivated to join us!

Since we can also monitor posts in the forum on the same page, what say we give "torpedo hits but not a sink" to forum posts that start conversations and stimulate learning for newbies and experts alike... The way that would work is if someone sees a thread they are amazed by, and notice it's creating great info (i.e. like any good wizzle) the starter of that thread or/and the best contributor, would get a torpedo. This would be done by anyone posting in THIS thread about such a thread and we can check it out and assign points or say are you crazy? lol (kidding).

Yet another thing we can also see is 100%-ers... there are only about 20 of them (I think) and anyone who hits 100% and posts to tell us about it here will also get torpedo hits (points)...

We could even create a wizzle specifically for tracking the game! (I created http://wizzley.com/wizzley-battleship-game/ for this just in case (It's in draft mode currently- Jo you could contribute to this wizzle collaboration :) wow we just activated another cool concept me and Chaz started (collaboration wizzles)... 

So for now it's simply the top 3 spots in the new published articles... the rest we're going to nail out and see how cool we can make it. I'll create an epic movie trailer for it too :)

could be a great way to get more hubbers over to wizzley- cause we're that party next door you can only hear the bass notes through the walls from :) bump bump bump bump (base kicks)...

This game has me pumped to produce... how about we also count (later the EC awards as an extra man so to speak (call it a sink point you get for writing ec quality work)... no Jo not retroactive- we'd never catch up haha...

Ah!  Well sunk!   But watch your back now.  I've had some work to do on my Zazzle store, but that's finished now.  So it's back to Wizzley and game on.  *evil laughter*

I love all of your ideas.  I'll have to think if I can add anything to them.  The prize competition sounds great and very generous of you.  And I'd be honored to collaborate on your article.  Just chuck over what you'd like me to write about. :D

She did! ahhh I didn't know anyone was publishing, I've literally been writing wizzles for 24 hours straight!  I'm spent- I didn't even go to bed, and now I start my official job (the one with the paycheck haha)... gonna be a fun night, I'm sunk lol! I was going to wait to publish those then I realized I had 3 ready to go so I pulled the trigger- woot woot! Check out the pimp your wizzle one :0) I added a clip from "I'm gonna get you sucka" where this really overzealous pimp is walking down the street, it's freakin hilarious!

I own the Battleships three articles.   I've started the last three topics on the forum AND I wrote the three articles at the top of the front page main section.

OMG you sunk my battle ship and land cruisers too! haha wow that's an accomplishment... kudos! I'm on my weekend (ony real downtime) but come monday watch out... I got a lot of cruisers lined up and ready to deploy (300 or so) a lot of them need some serious repairs but I think we can get three up by monday haha

Woohoo! I published 12 articles/wizzles last night and you know what? I couldn't get all three front page spots to light up! how does that happen? I got sunk every time I tried to launch a fleet- the first one was a cupcake article- I got sunk by a cupcake????? LOL...

LOL I threw eerything I had at it, I prepped my 7 post series but didn't publish until all 7 were done- and then Whooooosh, I knocked every battle ship from here to the wizzley boarder over :) buahahaha. You can have the helm now... I have to do some serious writing for pay now... (instant pay lol)... so I'll be off wizzley all night. maybe- possibly- haha my goal to write 50 articles tonight I may make it to 10 LOL
