Is there any way to quickly transfer Squidoo Lenses to Wizzley?

Hi, Evelyn -

you'd have to download your lens content and copy/paste it into our modules. It's a bit more elaborate than the automatic transfer to HP, but really no big deal if you prefer Wizzley as the new home for your work.

Hugs,

Keem

Thanks, Achim. How long do I have to wait so that it doesn't appear to be plagiarized or do I need to completely rewrite it?

After deleting your lens, you may publish its content here. No need to rewrite it.

Good to know I can transfer some Squidoo lenses here.   Some may fit better elsewhere (I have no idea how to figure that out though), some will undoubtedly be scrapped.

Thank you so much. I will be working on it in the next few weeks. I will also let other Squids know. :) Is there a limit to the number of links? Many of my lenses had dozens of links as was recommended by Squidoo at the time.

Good info to know. I haven't done that much here or over at Squidoo the last couple of years due to my mom getting much worse and finally passing away last year. Since then I've been exploring publishing on Kindle but I do want a place to write about interests and topics that wouldn't fit on one of my blogs or work as a book. I'm really glad I have an account and have used Wizzley in the past. Seems like it may be a good fit to move some of my favorite lenses. I don't know much about Hub Pages, and frankly, I'm not that keen on spending more time trying to learn yet another site.

This seems like a good option for some of my lenses that don't really have a home right now.

Thanks! .

Can I just confirm that it is OK to transfer lenses from Squidoo to Wizzley, and what guidelines apply?

I now have a lot of lenses on history and science topics that are looking for a home, but the Wizzley TOS have a restriction on duplicate content, and I don't know how long Google will take to de-index them from Squidoo.

After you've deleted your lenses on Squidoo, you may publish them here. However, we recommend waiting 2 or 3 weeks until Google has deindexed your pages. You may also use the 'deindex tool' in your Google Webmaster account to speed up the process.

I am glad to see this thread; I don't have to ask if Wizzley will harbor expatriate Squidoo lenses. Quite a few of my pages have been looking for a new home and a new community. I guess this is it! I never liked to see people jump ship from Squidoo. But now... It is good to see people taking solid content and bringing it here instead of Hubpages. And perhaps Hubpages will not be the only site to grow.

I think that quite a bit of what I have will make the move to Hubpages, though I am not happy about the situation. I don't think it would be realistic to move everything to a place other than Hubpages. I don't even have an Amazon account.

Some things I am not sure about... what all I will siphen off before the transfer. I have quite a few Squidoo pages that include recordings of public domain poems plus analysis etc. My recordings are hosted on Audioboo. That means more than two links to Audioboo. Will these pages be in violation if I don't, say, upload the audio to YouTube? Does anyone know how long of a grace period we are granted?
