A few days ago I expressed my dissapointment that there was not an option to disable viglink on articles.

I was subsequently informed that there is (via a kind PM and on the forum), via the 'more options' section on the right side of pages.

Unfortunately, I don't seem to have this option:

a

I only have the option to allow or dissallow Pinterest, no option to disable viglinks?

Please advise,

Thanks!

Ryan, have you registered for Viglink?  I guess you have not and may be that's why you are not seeing that option.  I have been told that Viglink may take some time to recognize our preferences so we may still see Viglink ads after publishing our articles (Especially if we mention words like Amazon and Ebay in our articles).

I checked couple of your articles and they don't seem to have Viglink ads.

Edit:  Oops I am sorry, I checked the other and they do seem to have Viglink ads, especially the articles with word Amazon in text.  I too faced the same problem with my latest article and a message to Chefkeem quickly fixed it.

Hmm, we've notified the technical fire brigade and they're on their way to investigate. Thanks.

If Vigilink is so good, why would anyone want to opt out?

Okay, it's fixed :) The option to disable automatic link insertion (LinkWeaver) is now available to all authors - as it should have been from the beginning. You'll find this option right above the "Export as text" link.

It was linking the word 'Amazon' every time I wrote it.

Therefore potentially sending a proportion of my traffic to the Amazon homepage, instead of through capsules to carefully selected products.

Viglinks may well be good, and I may experiment with it soon, but it was only going to be hurting my Amazon revenues the way that it was.

That's great, thanks Simon!
