How does eBay + Viglink work?

I've probably missed dozens of threads with this question, but I'd really appreciate it if somebody would confirm that this is correct:

1. I sign up to viglink and insert my tracker code somewhere on wizzley

2. I insert an eBay capsule into my wizzey/wizzle/thing

3. Somebody clicks through to Amazon, my viglink account is credited with moolah

Right? My little project for January 2013 is going through all of my wizzes and interlinking them, and on pages which are not sales pages, or which make little use of amazon capsules, I'm going to be adding some ebay ones.

Thanks in advance.

PS. Errrrmmmm..... has something changed with the forum editor? I'm getting a big blue bar at the bottom, it's cool but it has freaked me out as I'm on my wifes laptop for the first time in months and well..... I don't get that on my desktop.

(oh I had to get rid of the blue bar to submit, and now I don't know where the blue bar came from, am I going insane?)

Like always, I answer the last question first Tongue Out, well I've never seen any blue bar and I don't see it now. Not sure what it was.

About Viglink and eBay (I presume your third point meant eBay and not amazon). Well, it works just like a normal eBay capsule. You get paid per click (What ever small amount it is - a few cents around 0.08 or so I guess).  All Viglink does is place their affilaite code sine you're not placing yours. They keep 20% of the amount and give you the rest. But, Wizzley keeps 50/ 45 / 40% too as the normal revenue sharing procedure.

Ryan - click on VigLink in our FAQ to open up the instructions.

Then check out http://wizzley.com/viglink

This should answer your questions. If not, let us know.  Smile

That blue bar must have been something to do with software that my wife has installed, it brought up a big text editor at the bottom and I could format Wizzley forum posts using it.

It also appeared while creating a Squidoo lens, crazy stuff.... I guess that she has something installed for work.

Thanks for the answer!

Cheers Chef, I'm going to get to work improving my wizzley content early next year.

I've been building lenses recently and using their "83% complete" and "91% complete" tool has made me realise how some of my old hubpages could probably have been considered somewhat lacking.

So a little bit of that Squidoo influence has proven valuable, it has driven me on to improve my stuff here.  I have always intended to interlink them in fairness, I'm going to (modestly) backlink some of the stuff which was winning big traffic at hp but is yet to take off here.

I've not been winning much traffic here, but then I've not put much effort into winning it either, but I've noticed the following:

  • Strong AdSense CTR
  • Strong AdSense CPM
  • Good Amazon conversion rate

So as far as I'm concerned Wizzley are earning their 40%, and that gives me good reason to go and win the traffic now.

I'll end up writing new stuff here too I suspect.
