Help me, please!

Lost all my content on a draft

I was almost finished adding content to a draft page, reviewing it for typos and such, when I inadvertently clicked on a button at the bottom of the page. It took me to a new page, and when I hit the browser's back button, all my content was gone. I saved every module as I went, and if there is a "Save Draft" button, I've missed it.

Is there any way to retrieve my content?

I did a search for this topic in the forum, to avoid posting a duplicate and didn't find it. Hope I didn't miss it!

It's still there. Look under your account. It's on the list, in draft mode.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I knew it couldn't fly away that fast! Lesson learned.

It does automatically save (I've had the same thing happen once or twice!) but if you want to save as draft and come back to it later, you can simply press the "page view" button at the top right of the page in edit mode.

You don't even have to press "page view", Susannah. Your article is saved as draft, as soon as you complete and save the initial "create a page" form. After that, you simply save the modules, as you develop them. Then you can click away from your page, and you can always retrieve your draft from your dashboard (account page).

cool...I have been hitting the save button after every couple of sentences because I "thought" I had lost work and had to re do all of it...which isnt bad actually;makes me edit;but is frustrating...I didnt know there was an automatic draft in progress. Thank you Chef and nightowl!

Just to be clear: While you are in the edit-mode of a module, your content will NOT be automatically saved. Only your saved modules that make up your page are automatically saved as draft.

So, it's still a good idea to save your text (as you're writing it) every few sentences, in case you experience a crash or power loss.
