VigLinkers: How is it working for you?

I just "tried" to sign up with VigLink, but I got lost in all the screens they kept shuffling at me, so I'm not sure what my status is with them. I'm popping brain cells over the process.

So, while I'm wondering if I'm affiliated with them and wondering how I'll even figure out whether I'm affiliated, I'm also wondering about experiences others here on Wizzley are having with VigLink.

I'm interested in whatever info/experiences you can share with me, while I take some deep breaths and rest before tackling VL again.

Emma, Viglink didn't seem to work for me here, but I'm testing it on another site. All my outgoing links are handled through Viglink. I'm very curious to see how this works as well on the other site.

I do know at least one person who likes Viglink here.

Jo can probably fill you in on more.

ologsinquito, Thank you for this information!

I think that I might have goofed up in registering, but I'm not inclined to bark up that tree today. I'll save any disentangling for another day, sometime next week.

I can't work it out at all. I'm not convinced it will be of any help tbh, but we'll see.

April_M, I was hopelessly lost with all the screens that VigLink kept shuffling at me. I finally just signed out. I still can't figure out:

  1. if the registration went through or
  2. how to unregister from them.

As a result of getting lost in that maze, I've decided upon a policy that if something isn't clear and easy, I'm not getting involved.

I just hope that I can find someone who can help answer my two questions.

Is there any way of knowing if your application has been accepted?  I don't know if I've signed up with Vigilink or not now, my experience mirrors the others who have written about the site.

I did have trouble using Viglink here and on my blogs as well. But it's now working for me on Seekyt. I am excited about using it there, because I think I finally figured out how to get it to work. The only way you can know for sure is to click on one of your Amazon adds and seeing if the tag at the very end of the string shows something to the effect of tag-viglink=20 and a number, or something like that. Then, this should later show up as clicks on your Viglink dashboard.

In order for this to happen, you'll need to go into your Viglink account and make sure the setting says to override Amazon and eBay links. Then, make sure Viglink is switched on for your Wizzley campaign.

Humagaia, however, knows much more about this than I do. I learned a lot from him.

Maritravel, Please excuse my delay in responding to your comment. Somehow I didn't receive a notification about your comment, but fortunately I was notified about ologsinquito's comment below.

VigLink is still very much a mystery to me.

Thanks to coaching from ologsinquito, I'm pretty sure that VigLink is not active on my Wizzley pages.

I'll probably give it another go sometime in the future, but for now I'm focusing on understanding Amazon and Chitika.

ologsinquito, Your input and tips are much appreciated. I'm glad to hear that you're comfortable with VigLink on Seekyt.

I'd like to give VigLink another go, but definitely not this month. I've decided that I need to feel comfortable with Amazon and Chitika.

I'm  still puzzled over why I'm still seeing Google Ads on my pages instead of Chitika. I thought that under my sign-in I'm supposed to see exclusively Chitika but that is not so.

Thanks again for your helpfulness.

That is probably the revenue-share ads you are seeing. Wizzley will show their ads 50 percent of the time, until you reach 100 articles. Then you receive 60 percent of the share of impressions.

Using VigLink on Wizzley is as easy as it gets.

1. Sign up for a *NEW* account from within our Settings page! This is important! Do not use an existing account, do not go straight to viglink.com and sign up from their own sign-up button!

2. Enter the exact same email address you used to sign up with VigLink into the appropriate field on your settings page.

See this illustration for further clarification:

That is all the preparation you need. Now every ordinary link you publish will be automatically affiliated for you (if there is an affiliate program available). For more tips and info please view our tutorial page:

nightowl, Thank you for this information.

Somehow I ended up in a loop of strange screens. I'd never ventured in VigLink Land before, so it was quite baffling.

When I next feel brave enough to tackle VigLink, I'll feel more comfortable thanks to your information.
