AbbyFitz has just put up this awesome article about Court Reporter Mugs. Yes, I know, I am a secret mug-o-phile, but even so. We have so much talent on this site it is stunning.
How can proofreaders and editors not clamor at their partners to immediately purchase the mug which proclaims 'Seriously. It's Called Grammar. You Should Try It Sometime.'?!
Android phone owners (as I have just become) can only read it and weep. Now I know why no one types using upper case letters any more... *cries disconsolately*.
*Brightens as she realises she WILL BE THE ONLY ANDROID PHONE OWNER EVER who types using proper grammar and punctuation. My own bleeding eyeballs will be the result if I do not.*

It took me 10 minutes to type a 7 word message to my husband this morning. It's as if I just went back to secretarial college...*gagh*.
As I intend to use the new brick for drafting articles, I think I will likely learn to touchscreen type pretty quickly, athough given that I'll be sitting on an elderly bus bouncing around at 60mph down a two lane high way, I'd better pray I don't publish anything major before downloading it to a computer with a proper spellcheck! The odd misspelled tweet I can live with (and can blame on *not enough tea* - who are these people and why am I sitting with them at this hour of the morning? as Mira would probably have it - but anything more than 140 characters and I'll be in trouble, given that most of my audience are fellow writers and authors.
And yes, I liked it. So much that I tweeted it and G+d it too. Thanks Abby. ;-D

Not to be undertaken lightly on a bus at 7am, Abby. Anyone who speaks above a whisper is immediately subject to the kind of look which makes icebergs feel welcome and renders Tasers unnecessary.

No, Mira, that wouldn't work. Any talking at all is utterly forbidden on the 7am bus when everyone, possibly also including the driver, is still half asleep!

Ologsinquito, you are not wrong there. Abby's knowledge of hats is encyclopedic and stenography classes as a dark art to me.
