Need Help Displaying Referral

I read the "How to Cut, Copy and Paste for Beginners" as suggested.  How do I know if I'm doing this right when it comes to setting up my referral account?  I copied and pasted my referral line shown, then added it to a link box at the bottom of my article.  I used Control + C and Control + V to transfer it.  This shows when I look at my article, but it doesn't look right.  How is it supposed to look to a reader?  I know this process is easy for some folk, but it completely has me lost.  Thanks.

Where can I look at it?

BTW, referral links are not meant to be placed on your own Wizzley articles, except when the topic is about writing and making money online. Otherwise, it's an irrelevant link that does not look very good on an article.

I know - a lot of people do this anyway, but it still doesn't look good. Some visitors may even perceive it as 'spammy'.

Referral links should go on your other blogs, or in your name IDs, when you comment on other, relevant sites.

Like Chefkeem said, your referral link should be mainly used outside Wizlley, not on your articles here. A suggestion, if you have problems with such basic things like copy and paste, do you know a computer literate person that could give you a one to one session for this in real life? Once you see how it is done, things might get easier for you and you can proceed from there. SY

Oh, okay!  Now I'm getting it, chefkeem!  When I first started, I did catch a few articles with referrals on their pages, and I thought that was the norm.  Recently, I remember seeing someone from "The Other Place" going as far as saying, "Join me at Wizzley by using my referral link at the bottom of one of my articles."  So now, I can move this over to my blog instead.  Sam, I have been trying to think of someone I know that is computer savvy to help me out because although I managed to set up Adsense and all that on a blogand past sites, I don't remember how I managed to do it.  Or, there's always the nearby college and students who would be willing to do this for a small fee.  I'm going to need help, and that alone is a start.  Thanks.

You don't need to pay anybody to help you with that! Just start a forum thread here with "need help" and state your location or, in the worse of cases one of us talks you through all of it via Skype or another chat service ;-) SY

WHERE IS IT, Arlene? Give me the link to the page in question. If it's still in edit mode, copy the link from the browser address bar, and paste it in here. Or just tell me the title of your page.

I cannot check it out, if you don't tell me which page you mean.  Smile

Arlene, I just created a link list post the way it's supposed to be. You can open it in edit-mode and see where I've put the text.

For comparison, I left your old one in there. You can delete it now.

Sam, I need to adjust to the helpful people here.  My last site, it was "Sink or Swim."

Thank you for your help, chefkeem!  I deleted my old post.  I knew I was missing something, so now I have a pattern to go by as I use it outside of Wizzley.  Moving forward!  I appreciate your patience!

Arlene - somewhere else you may not have a link module. Then you'll have to hyperlink a phrase.

Write your 'call to action' any way you want. For instance ...

Would you like to write on Wizzley ... etc?

Sign up here - for FREE!

Then you would have to hyperlink 'Sign up for FREE' with your ref-link.

Highlight the phrase, click on the link tool (unbroken chain links) on top of the editor window, and then enter your ref-link - http://wizzley.com/pr=4881 - into the pop-up box where it asks for the URL.

Or, open the HTML editor and copy/paste the entire code. This is the entire code to show your phrase with your ref-link included:

<a href="http://wizzley.com/?pr=4881">Sign up here - for FREE!</a>

Once your post is saved, all you can see is your phrase in blue and hyperlinked (clickable).

Whew!  Thanks again, chefkeem!  Now I'll need to update my blog with my Wizzley information.  That poor blog really needs a lot of work.
