Major update ahead

Hi everybody,

phew, we're currently working day and night on a new, big update of Wizzley. New features will come, unused functions will be removed. For that, I've got two questions to all of you, so we can better decide on which functions should  be improved, simplified or removed.

1) Do you use our comment overview page:

http://wizzley.com/accounts/comments/

Personally, I always work on the articles themselves, so I don't use the app at all. Maybe you do the same and no one really uses it ...

2) What about the "Module Clicks" tab?

http://wizzley.com/accounts/module_clicks/

Is it useful? Too complicated? Not required at all?

Our update will still take about two weeks to be finished, but I'm confident, you're going to like the result :)

Cheers,

Simon

I don't use either function very often.

Am looking forward to the major update!   Not that I'll be doing much writing before then.  Vacation is coming up.

1) Do you use our comment overview page: Yes I use this basically because I pop into the site for a quick over view, note any icon prompts and respond.  When I click the comments icon it brings me directly to the page.  This is how I respond to my messages.  I'm someone to go for the quick and easy as time is always of the essence.

What method do you use kajohu?

2) What about the "Module Clicks" tab? I use this too.  I check to see if all my text modules optimize, if not I tweak them a bit.  This is a great feature IMO, good development there.  I understand you need to make adjustments, this is a feature I will def miss. Thanks for giving me the time to grieve before its gone.

I use tools and features, give em to me and I'm going to use them eliminate them and I'll adapt.

Thanks for asking Simon and thank you for all the hard work, you managed the systems growth expansion beautifully. Wink

I agree with Katie. I use all of them. Please don't remove any.

I use the comments overview page all the time - I'm just like Katie in how I respond to comments.

I think the module clicks tab is very useful, but I haven't used it in months - life's just got busy offline and I haven't spent enough time of the site - definitely think it's a great tool though.

I like the module clicks page, I check it everyday to see if anything is happening... The comment overview page I don't use too much, I like the flags at the top they generally tell me when there are comments although I would like to see a way to answer comments directly from that page instead of going into the article itself, sometimes this helps when you have a lot- I anticipate in the hundreds of articles this will be a major benefit to have so I think it's a good feature...

I'd keep em both...

I don't seem to use the comments feature often, but I do check it once in a while (When I have new comments - not always, only when I'm busy). I could survive without that. But, the module clicks - that I use everyday and I guess that's one of the best features here on Wizzley.

Looking forward to the update, the first major one since I'm here

Yay! they're pretty good as they are, so I don't think you'll would need to waste time nor funds on improving these. But, I'm not sure how things work out at the office Frown

I occasionally  use all the features, so I wouldn't want to see any of them go away.

I suggest that we have the statement concerning donating proceeds to be changed to "Author  will donate any proceeds of this article to charity."

and that we be given an option to add this statement near the Amazon module also.

Thanks

Hi Bob,

we're currently revising the whole charity option, anyway. We'll probably make some changes along with the upcoming update.

I'd like to add a huge 'me too' to what Katie said.  She described my routine perfectly!

I don't use them very much either, but then I don't have as many pages written as most writers here and I think that is the difference.

No sleep for you Simon -working day and night!  I look forward to the new stuff...!!

I didn't notice the module clicks statistics till the otherday, so I haven't used it. However, it does look VERY useful should wizzley become more of an earner for me.

As for the comments: I absolutely use the centralized spot. I'd hate to check out each individual article.

Both modules are great, comments are especially useful if you can't log in every day and you have a lot of comments.

If you decide to retire this module, the best solution for me would be to put all comments on hold (what I do mostly anyway), but in this case i miss option to reply to every individual comment.

Hope this helps to somebody...

Keep up the good work!

Just to confirm: both features will still be there in our new version - only slightly modified for a better user experience :)
