The stars actually work with the wizard theme, like it's been "poofed' there by a magician. I thought that was the intent. 
Sometimtes these things just are meant to be.

you can leave the stars as it is, or you can add a magical pen as a wand pointing to the magical stars |

Agree with 2uesday. If animation is ever thought useful (like some others sites :)), and I am not certain that it is, a pen can move across with stars around it and in its wake. |
