Warning about major promo efforts during server updates!

Please consider that a major server update---like the one we're currently going through---can require a number of "Wizzley downs" over the course of several days (or weeks).

Believe us, we try to do our best to minimize these down times, and to schedule them during those times when we have the least amount of traffic (US night).

In order to avoid sending your traffic to non-accessible articles, it's probably a good idea to wait on major promo efforts for the next couple of weeks, or so.

Again, we're very sorry for the inconvenience and even sorrier for the lost traffic during our outages. Hans and Simon work around the clock, and my life expectancy has dropped to 61. (I'm 63.)

Yup I understand now :) As long as it's making the site better and going to improve the future performance  Too Bad the US night is my day . Will publish in the night just as what I did today.

Thanks for letting us know what is going on. It does allow us to time our work and do other things no less important that promotion while waiting.

Thanks for informing us about critical times. Yes, it is inconvenience, but most of us have seen much worse scenarios in other places and if we are looking for long term improvements, this is the only way.
