I wouldn't even limit this advice to non-published members. Some authors may mean this as encouragement, but really, why would you want to demonstrate publicly that you are a fan of a drive-by link-dropper? Doesn't that make you guilty by association? I did click a few people I was a fan of but it was people i know from other sites.

Yep I hate the people who fan people just because they can. I only fan people if I like their work and want to read more. |
